All of the lyrics on this site have been proof-read by Trooper and are correct.  Well, okay, my typing sometimes leaves something to be desired so there may be an "oops" here and there ... but that's my fault, not theirs.

Good songwriters choose their lyrics carefully and with purpose, and changing those words changes the whole meaning of the song.  Looking around at the various Trooper concerts I've been to, it's obvious that not everybody was singing the same thing Ra was.  That was one of the reasons I wanted to do a lyrics site.  I'm honest enough to admit that {blush, blush}, huge and loyal fan that I am, * I * was even wrong in a couple of spots.  But no more!!  Now there's no excuses for any of us :)

So now that we've eliminated the problem of lyrics that are misheard, we can laugh at them.  Amazingly enough, there's even a term for these critters ... " MONDEGREENS ".  And as with anything strange and obscure, there's also a web site or two.  HERE'S a really good one that also has links to others.  Anyway, I figured I'd start a list of mondegreens of Trooper songs.  I ~know~ there's more than these out there 'cause I've heard them, so please e-mail me and tell me some that you've heard, too.  And don't worry, we'll keep submissions anonymous if you like.    Thanks to those that have helped me add to the list!
