Those that could, spent New Year's Eve '98 with Trooper at the Turvey Centre in Regina, Sask.  But for the rest of Canada, they were able to see the guys that night on TV, on the CBC comedy show "This Hour Has 22 Minutes".  There was a bit of a teaser earlier in the show where Rick Mercer did a sketch as an ice skater who performed to a medley of Trooper songs, complete with a "3 Dressed Up As A Nine" woman and a "Bright White Sports Car" on the ice.  But they saved the best until the very last.

Right from the beginning, it was obviously a blast on the set.

It's a little hard to see, but L to R is:
Ra McGuire, Mary Walsh, Brian Smith, Greg Thomey, Lance Chalmers, Scott Brown, Cathy Jones, Paul Gogo, Rick Mercer

A great TV show, a great band, great people....
and a fantastic start to 1999!
