Every fan has their own story about Trooper - what memory goes through their mind when they hear a certain song, meeting and talking with the guys after shows, their favorite tune, etc, etc. The emails I've gotten since I started this site are so interesting that I decided.. why not set up a page where anybody and everybody can have their own story told? So, here's your chance to share your Trooper experience with other fans. Email your story or comments to me, with your name and where you're from (optional), and I'll post them here.
" It was an absolute thrill opening for a band that used to play at my high school dance. They were every bit as good and better than I remembered. I only hope I have that much energy when and if I reach the stage that their at." - Cathy-Ann, lead singer of the group PHAT Betty (Vernon, B.C.)
" As a resident of the deep South (Ohio, USA) I don't really have many Trooper stories to tell. I've yet to see the band in concert (which I've got to rectify this year by making that 5 hour drive to Lulu's this year --- hopefully in the fall).
I do remember calling up CKLW in Detroit and requesting
Trooper songs so we could tape them off the radio since we had trouble finding the singles
around here. I remember trading baseball cards to one of the neighbor kids from
Kentucky for his 45 RPM of "Baby Woncha Please Come Home". How the
heck he got a hold of this down there is beyond me --- I think I still have it. I finally
found a record store in my hometown of Washington, Indiana
(Tater's Record World) that carried the albums. I think I bought one each summer from 1976
through 1979.
This is actually the only place I've seen the Hot Shots CD on the shelf here in the US.
(I have seen it listed in various places on the Net).
I also recall ordering my original glitter Trooper logo T-shirt from Feldman Mgt. Group.
I remember getting a package from them that was so small I knew they had
screwed my order up. But NO! --- unfold that 3" x 3" piece of cloth about
40 times and Lo and Behold --- a black Trooper T-shirt with glittering logo. With
this ablaze on my chest, I was the envy of the few classmates I had that had heard of
Trooper back in '77 and '78. Too bad I'm not as thin as I used to be or I might
still have it somewhere...
Here's an article I found in one of my old junk boxes. A friend of mine from Purdue
University in Indiana sent it to me in October of 1978. I think it came from a
Sunday magazine from that area. It's getting pretty yellow now..." - Phil Shirley, Galion, Ohio
Here's the cool article he sent. Thanks Phil!

" Thanks for the great web page on Trooper. Please
don't hold it against me for being an American:<) I am 43 years old and have
enjoyed Troopers music since I was 19 and used to travel to Vancouver every weekend (from
north Seattle) to "The Cave". Every concert that they have had in Seattle I have
attended as well as some
pretty dusty "po dunk" Eastern Washington rodeo towns!! It was ALWAYS a
pleasure. After I married, I introduced my husband to Trooper and now my daughter (9
yrs) is a huge fan. Unfortunately it is extremely hard to find any music down here.
When we are fortunate enough to travel to Canada, we always hit the music
stores and head for the "T" section in search of an album that we may have
missed. I would love to take my daughter to a concert if they are ever in the
Vancouver area. Is there some way to track their schedule?? Thanks for any
help you can give me. I can't think of another band that has brought our family such
enjoyment! "
