ABOUT JOSEPH FAIRCHILD

Joseph was a carpenter in Morris county. The house built he built on Lee's Hill Road is still standing has changed little over the years,...Joseph deeded the house to his son, Abner in 1804, and Abner deeded it to his son, Barton in 1817. Barton went to Ohio, and in 1818 deeded it to his brother Ephraim who deeded it to his wife Girtrude, and she to son John 1 Aug 1872. That year John sold it. Tradition says a map shows a cemetery on the property, but since the early 1900's nothing is know about this.
