My Family

I live in a family of 4 which all reside under the same roof, including my father Harry, my mother Shawn and my brother Narayan.

My mother is currently a primary school teacher in Scarborough teaching 6th grade at Churchill Heights P.S. She was born and raised in Nova Scotia where she lived happily with her parents and brother Barry. She is a tall, multiracial woman with heritage from various bloodlines including Native Indian, Scottish, French and English. In her late 40's she manages to cook, teach, decorate, garden and inspire those of us around her.

My Father is a semi-retired part-time warehouse manager at Gambro Inc. He oversees shipping, delivery, maintenance and quality control for the Hamilton department of Gambro. He manages his own Karate Dojo in the style of Okinawa style Ryukyu Kempo. He is a 3rd degree black belt and a skilled fighter. Born in Guyana he has roots that go back to India and Persia and grew up in Georgetown as well as the Interior of Guyana.

My Brother is 21 years old and is currently working full time at the Scarborough YMCA as Aquatics Manager and head lifeguard. He has received his high school diploma and is looking forward to complete the Fire-fighter course at Centennial College next year.
