This is the Crew of Star Trek Enterprise the new Series.
From the First season it looks like its going to be a big hit. I'm hooked that's for sure

Now a quick crew manifest:

Captain Jonathan Archer (Scott Bacula)
Archer is the son of one of Zefram Cochranes Chief Warp-Drive calibrators.
So he was set to be in space from an early age. A lot of people would recognise Scott Bacula from the series "Quantum Leap".
Unlike any previous Captains in Star Trek he has a pet dog aboard with him and is quite laid back and relaxed but I find it refreshing to have, once again a new style Captain like we did with "Voyager". Janeway Took a bit of getting used to but when I did, it was great. Also in "Enterprise" you'll find that our new Captain doesn't really like the Vulcan influence that earth is now under. He feels that they are restricting his fathers work by holding back technology. As season one gets near the end you sense that he is softening to T'Pol a bit. It almost seems like he is Going to be a bit like Kirk with Spock at his side.

Sub Commander T'Pol (Jolene Blalock)
T'Pol is the Vulcan assigned to oversee humans progress in space. Although Vulcan I think I have picked up on slips of emotion. Which might indicate that in this time, Vulcan's aren't as disciplined as they are in ST:TOS. It could also be that in vulcan years and lifetimes she is quite young. Throughout the first season of "Enterprise" she is constantly trying to earn respect from her fellow crewmen. T'Pol is science officer like a previous Vulcan I can think of, but her choice of clothing reminds me of "7 of 9" From "Voyager".

Lieutenant Malcolm Reed (Dominic Keating)
Reed is the Tactical Security Munitions Officer, he acts like a proper englishman and seems a little shy. He likes to blow things up. He also seems to be the one that gets suspicious of anyone like he is the early warning one. Reeds character really hasn't been explored properly yet and I'm sure that he will have some importance in the coming seasons.

Dr Phlox (John Billingsley)
Dr Phlox is an asexual Medical Physician, Who appears to absolutely love human culture. At the beginning of season one you quite often get to see his critters and alternate herbal remedies in sick bay. We have been given no indication of his age or life span, but the amount of knowledge that he appears to have accumulated is vast and may indicate that he has the life span maybe of a Vulcan.

Commander Charles 'Trip' Tucker, III (Connor Trinneer)
Trip the Chief engineer and second in charge. Even though in one of the episodes that comes into dispute with T'Pol. Trip his nick name, is quite an interesting character. He already has stuck his foot in it a couple of times when it came to diplomacy. He also is the on-board charmer like Paris on Voyager, it seems that even the cold hearted Vulcan is susceptible to his charm.

Ensign Hoshi Sato (Linda Park)
Sato is the Comms Officer onboard Enterprise. Due to the fact that they don't have a fully working Universal Translator they have run into trouble already. They run into someone who is really annoyed with them and they are being attacked by another at the same time. after the Uni Translator fails to be fast enough Sato uses her linguistic skills to translate by herself. She would have been quite handy on ST:TOS a couple of times. Capt Archer convinced her to join against her judgment as she suffers from space sickness, but the thought of all of the new languages that they were to encounter lured her aboard.

Ensign Travis Mayweather (Anthony Montgomery)
Mayweather is the youngest aboard and mans the helm. He was born in space aboard a space freighter, which makes him what they call a boomer. He then manned freighters until he left and joined starfleet. He may be the youngest but he has had more space time than anyone else aboard. Mayweather gets away with murder most of the time as he is constantly jumping in and interrupting the captain while he is addressing others.

Enterprise NX-01
Enterprise NX-01, well I did wonder how they were going to have a ship before NCC 1701. Its top speed is warp 5.1 which is the fastest in the fleet at the time, now i remember the finale of ST:TNG where the 1701-D goes into warp 13. At the time that sent shivers down my spine and got me glued to the screen, then in voyager we have the pleasure in finding out that anything faster than ten means your in all places at once. Sometimes these warp ratio's can be confusing, i suppose in ST:TNG's last it actually never happened as it was all done by Q. Anyway its length is only 190 meters as you can see in the premier episode as the little shuttle flies past it. It has no shielding only retractable polarised hull plating which I'm sure will change eventually. Communications to Earth are only possible while they are at warp as they have no sub-space relays set up. they don't have any photon torpedo's only spatial one's, Which don't really work anyway. Just in case nobody noticed, it is really good looking ship and it makes you wonder why they forgot when they make the NCC-1701. Anyhow here is a spec sheet that I found in "Star Trek" the magazine (Jan 2002) you'll have to click on it to read it as it is rather large so you can read it.

Happy Trekkin......    Live Long and Prosper
