The Kids' Breakfast Club
Scouts can earn service hours (3 hours each day) by serving breakfast, helping with craft activities, or reading to kids. Four Hayward sites and one San Leandro site to choose from: Longwood School, John Muir School, Salvation Army, Eden Youth Center, Ashland Community Center.

Is your unit looking for a "public relations opportunity"? TKBC (The Kids' Breakfast Club) may have just what you need! The "Saturday Academy" operates on 2nd Saturdays at John Muir School, and 3rd Saturdays at Tyrrell School. Breakfast is served from 9:00 am to 10:00, and activities follow for another hour.
Openings are available for "promoters" for the July dates - July 20 & 27, for one or two groups who would be willing to help serve breakfast, and then show the kids how to tie knots, or some other interesting aspect of Scouting, or even share pictures of your events. Spanish-speaking is very helpful!
