Wise Choice. I love my Suburban.
It's a 1989 4x4. It has a 350V8 with a 700R4 automatic overdrive. It's all pretty much stock, except for a set of underdrive pulleys, a throttlebody spacer, and a K&N air filter.
It's an Explorer Conversions truck, so it's got a pretty nice interior. All of the interior side panels are upholstered up to the windows. It's got a custom wood console, but that needs to be refinished. Someday I want to restore the whole truck.
Me & all of my friends were suprised by how well it goes off road. It hasn't been lifted, but the stock 235/75 R15 tires have been swapped for a set of 31 x 10.50 15s Michelin LTX ATs. That was done before I bought it. If you can afford them, I highly recomend those tires. They go good on wet pavement, in snow, or on wet grass. They're not the best in mud, but they do okay. The only time I got it stuck was when I high centered after sliding into a ditch. But it's been a good truck.
