Left the house at 5am, and delivered in Corona CA about noon. Then waited to load at Sears in Ontario at 9pm going to Sparks NV (469 mi.) as fast as I could get there. I drove nonstop all night.
Oct 22, Friday.
I arrived and delivered Sparks NV Sears at 7am. Then went to p/u a load and drop it at the truck stop. This should have taken less than an hour but noooooo. I went to the place to pick it up and they didn't know what I was doing there. I went round and round with them and my boss, trying to get this straight. Remember that I had been up all night and I was looking for my bed. Saying that I was tired was an understatement. It took me a total of 7 hours to load that load up and then drive it 1 mile to the truck stop and drop it. For those 7 hours I got paid $25. Local pick ups and local deliveries pay $25, if it takes 30 minutes or all day. After that I went to Kal Kan and p/u a trailer loaded with dog food going to Montebello CA, near LA. (491 mi.). Then I drove all the way home. I got home at midnight. It is 300 miles from Reno to Fresno. And yes I was tired.

(867 mi.). Then drove as far as Chehalis and stopped for the night.
Oct 28, Thursday.
Drove from Chehalis WA to Lakehead CA.
Oct 29, Friday.
Drove into Madera and delivered paper rolls then went home for a few hours. Then I went MT to Delano (99 mi.) to p/u for Santa Barbara, but when I got there I hooked to the trailer and dragged it to the guard shack, there was no paperwork for that load. No one was there working and there was nothing we could do. My boss told me to put that trailer back and go to Porterville (33 mi.) and get another MT trailer and drag it down to Los Angeles.(163 mi.) I made it down to Wheeler Ridge, the bottom of the Grapevine on the North side, and stopped for the night.
Oct 30, Saturday.
I went to LA Dart (Sears) and tried to p/u my trailer, but this wasn't happening either. This load was loaded in another companies trailer. The trailer that this load was put in was not owned by Schneider, so I could not pull it with my tractor. They took me off that load and sent me to the Rail yard and p/u a trailer of paper cups going to Bakersfield (112 mi.) I hooked to it and took it to Bakersfield then drove home (107 mi.) and had the rest of the day off.
