A Poem By
Mrs. T (Terri)

Asphalt Angels

You See them on the roads
Their numbers are many
Often running along together
Keeping an eye out for each other
And the other drivers on the road

If you are lost-
They often recite directions by memory
If you are broke down-
They often offer some form of assistance
If you are Tired-
They will talk to you to keep you awake

They are often rough and loud
They love to tell jokes and laugh
They look out for each other
They bring you all you want or need

They are the truck drivers
Criss crossing this country
With hearts of solid gold
And families waiting at home

They are our Asphalt Angels
