Special Interest

(You are listening to "Abyss of Thor", from Tales of Phantasia!)

This is my interest, and a very unusual one at that.  The interest I have is something called RPing.  RPing stands for Role Playing.  In this strange area, you assume a character and his role.  Then, you take him, and insert him into the storyline that is presented by another RPer or some sort of RP leader (like a DM or a GM (Dungeon Master and Game Manager, respectively).

I have quite a history with RPing.  I've been at it since the age of ten.  I started out as a very inexperienced newbie (jargon alert:  newbie means someone who has little to no experience).  However, as the years have past, I've gained considerable skills in RPing, and I started DMing at the age of 15.  Eight years later, I've been told I'm one of the most experienced and lead some very interresting stories.  (I'm TRYING not to have an ego... *laughs*)  Here's my "resume" as resumes go for RPing.

Timeline

Characters

Eight Years of RPing (and Damn, has it been a hell of a ride!)

1992:  My first year was a year of learning.  I was just like a newbie, trying to learn the ropes.  I was lucky.  I broke into the RPing scene through Dungeons and Dragons, and learned quite a bit that way.  My first adventure involved an elf (hence my fondness for them) by the name of Barinth.   I will never forget that guy...

1993:  One year down, and plenty more to go.  At this time I was in fourth grade, and I had to move from California to Kentucky, to a place called Hopkinsville.  I didn't find a real established RPing group there.  I did, however, find a few isolated gamers.  We had some interresting cave explorations (these guys were definate spelunkers.)

1994:  I moved again, this time to Ft. Campbell, Kentucky.  Here, I found a few people nearby who were into it just as much as I was.  My first modern RP was during this time.  These guys also got me into it heavily, especially after an RP dealing with my first bad guy.  From thus on, the evil tirade truely began for me.  *grins*

1995-1996:  RPing continued in Kentucky until the beginning of 1997.  I was forced again to move (military families are great and ungreat.), and came to Spokane, Washington.  My RPing hit an indefinate hold.  I made up for it by writing stories, the one man RP.

1998-1999:  I finally get back into the habit late 1998, when I get some friends who just joined.  With my experience to guide them, I become the DM for the group, and start my own campaigns.  My best campaign thus far?  "The Stone of Might."  This one kicked ass.

1999:  My online debut in RPing came when I finally had more exposure to the internet, in 1998 to 1999.  My debut came at a place called "Battlegrounds."  And though that place and myself have separated ways, I still think back fondly to the one known as UnknownOne.

2000:  I call this "The Year of the Blue One."  I left BG and Xenachat for other places, and my mainstay is definately Red Dragon Inn.  Here, I established a new character who became very popular in MSN, Salistian Trueblue.  This man put all my obsessions into one:  He was human, obsessed with the color blue, and had aspirations to be a dragoon, and finally became one.  When RDI became disenchanting, I broke off and started my own franchise, with help from my friends.  Lost Realms became a place where my best RPing in the eight years occured.  LR eventually died off when the plots couldn't fit it...

2001:  "The Golden Year of Double S Online".  This has been an amazing year, and it's only halfway done. I have had one of my best campaigns, "To Solaria!", succeed perfectly without any problems, and Kei Jasutisu is indeed my Diamond in the Rough! I hope everyone is enjoying the effort being given, as it is in tip-top shape!

Characters

This is a list of some of my best characters, and ones I've used in the past.  Use your imagination for what they might look like.

Barinth Nightbreeze- My first character in RPing.  He's an elf whose charge was a princess of his same age.  That was quite interresting.  His features were definately elven, with the shaped chin, ears, long blond hair (dear lord, a blond!).  Tall, he was definately striking.

UnknownOne- He was more or less well known, so in all actuality, his name is a paradox in itself!  He's a man of virtue, after only the right values, but helping himself at the same time.  As his name implies, he doesn't prefer to let too much of his features show out, so he's a bit shadowy, but he's about 5'9, and people claim they had seen locks of deep brown hair.

Salistian Trueblue- My fave character by far.  He is a dragoon, the class that I have the biggest obsession with (and writing a book for).  He's 5'10", deep blue eyed, and wild brown hair, with a slight beard forming on his normally clean-shaven face.  He values about every good tradition there is, but sometimes, that blinds him from the real deal.

Torrence Lentin-  The real deal when it comes to bad guys.  He's a bastard.  Really, he is, his dad was someone else in the Garax Plains.  This didn't set well with him, and when he met his real dad at the young age of 14, he blew him up with a raging fireball.  The rest stems from there.  Don't mess with him unless you want a good long fight, and he will run when he knows he has no chance, so as to increase his chances later... don't ever screw up and forget that...

Christian Flameheart-  Chris is one of those chars that I took pride in the fact that I did something extremely different, and garnished great results, none-the-less.  Originally a Fireballer (a mercenary group), he struck out on his own in search of adventure, and ended up changing into something very strange.  Ever since, he's taken it upon himself to help others with his same fate, by revolting against any lab he finds.  Never underestimate him.

Kei Jasutisu-  Kei's my latest and greatest.  His abilities tend to be much like Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time asha'man, where he falls into a void, and ends up killing a lot more than he intends.  He's nuts, too, so one moment, he's sane, and the next moment, he's ready to kill a person.  Nice person, but I wouldn't want to test how far his patience goes.  His other self is called "Darkness Tide", and when that takes over, it seems like a demon has possesion of his soul... is there a duel work here?
