Page 2 We estimate our arrival in Baltimore at around 3:00pm, Liza continues to push forward and we do finally arrive at approximately that time.

Luckily we all have cell phones and are able to co-ordinate rides, calls to family and friends.

Petra, glad to be home

Debra is continuing to her car, thankful that it is not parked in the airport but in satellite parking. Baltimore/Washington airport is closed and police barriers are across the road. She will take Petra and Jay, Liza will return the rented van and the end of the journey is at hand.

As I arrive at my brother Don's house I am glad to finally have gotten here.

Words fail to express the gratitude I feel for all of my travelling companions. They took me under their wing and brought me to my intended destination a day late but whole and safe. I can't imagine what I would be doing if I was still in Dallas. I don't even want to think about it. All flights have been postponed indefinitely. No planes are flying, it is eerie. Don's house is directly under the approach to BWI. On an ordinary day, hundreds of jets would have passed over.

Today there is silence.
