Cyndi Lauper was born in New York in 1953. Her chart career in the UK began in 1984 with the anthemnic “Girls Just Want To Have Fun”. Since then, Cyndi has clocked up 17 chart hits and three platinum selling albums. She is about to release a new album and appeared at VH1 Divas Live 2002.
