It all started on June 13, 1946.  Jason Voorhees was born to Pamela Voorhees.  He led a sheltered childhood, having no friends and relying on his mother for his only guidance in life.  When Jason was 11 years old, Pamela worked as a cook at Camp Crystal Lake, and took her only child Jason to work with her.  Although she knew Jason couldn't swim, she let him go in the lake and then blamed the counselors when Jason "drowned."  Of course, his body was never found (because he wasn't dead) and Pamela went a little crazy...

A year later, Pamela killed the two counselors who were suppose to be looking after the lake     the day Jason drowned.  After making sure the camp was closed down, Pamela went on to make sure it stayed closed by setting fires and other things to prevent the camps opening each time someone tried.

In 1979, she went to the about-to-be-opened camp, and killed everyone except for Alice, who managed to decapitate Pamela at the end of Friday the 13th (part 1).

Jason's Home in the WoodsAll of these years, Jason was living by himself in the woods.  He managed to stumble into Camp Crystal lake just in time to see his mother murder the counselors and then to see Alice kill his beloved mother.  He made a shrine of his mother's head and sweater, and knowing nothing else put to follow her example, he went on to kill Alice and eventually anyone who came to Crystal Lake.
