John Denver's Windstar Foundation is proud to announce the first annual Windstar Day to take place on Saturday, October 23, 2004.  Windstar Day is your opportunity to gather friends and family together and make a contribution to your own community along with like-minded individuals around the globe.  It's easy to get involved and participate in Windstar Day, so keep reading so you can find out how we can all make a difference together!

What is Windstar Day?  Windstar Day is a special day initiated by John Denver's Windstar Foundation to give YOU the opportunity to help make a positive difference in the world around you.  You can do this right in your own community with a group of 2 or a group of 200.  Size doesn't matter; location doesn't matter.  What does matter is that you are making an effort to do something positive in your own community, and that in turn will make a difference for our environment.  Just imagine - thousands of people around the world all doing something positive in their local community on the same day!  You can make a difference by participating in Windstar Day. It's up to you to organize a local event, so find out how to registar your own event today by requesting information by emailing APokey1@aol.com today.  Please put 'Windstar Day' in your email subject line and sign up today!  You do not have to be a Windstar member to participate in Windstar Day!

What kind of activity do I have to do to participate in Windstar Day 2004?
Answer: You can do any type of earth-friendly or environmental project that will benefit your local community for Windstar Day.  You will be sent a list of activities and suggested areas to do your project in when you request more information.
Question: Do you have to be a member of Windstar to participate?
Answer: No, anyone may participate in this activity and may register an event.
Question: Is there a requirement for the size of group we need to have an event?
Answer: No, you can have 2 people or 200 people. Any size group can participate.  We want as many groups involved in ever country around the world and ever state in the United States to participate with us.
Question: How do I let people know that we are holding a Windstar Day event:
Answer:  You can contact friends and family, members of groups you are involved in, co-workers and neighbors - and invite them to participate with you.  As Windstar Day get closer, you will have access to press releases and other materials that you can submit to your local newspapers as well as local radio and television stations to help publicize your event.  We want everyone to know what you are doing!
