InuYasha's Pictures

Inuyasha is a temperamental, angry, loud-mouthed, violent, jealous, aggressive, half-demon. He is also a kind-hearted, smart (sometimes), loyal, protective half-demon. Needless to say, that's why we all love him like we do.

His looks:

Inuyasha has long silvery-white hair and golden eyes, fangs, claws, and, oh yeah, two cute dog-ears on top of his head. He usually wears his fire-rat kimono and hakama, even in Kagome's time. Pics to prove it! He also wears a necklace made of purple beads and fangs, which force him to the ground anytime Kagome says "Sit!"

When he turns into a full human, on the night of the New Moon, his hair turns black, his eyes become dark brown (or violet, I haven't gotten to see him as a human in a manga yet...), his ears become normal human ears, and his loses all his demon abilities. Also, his claws become regular human nails. Needless to say, he hates it.

When he turns into a full demon, a reaction triggered by strong emotions and the loss of the Tetsusaiga, which seals his blood, he doesn't change as much. His fangs and claws grow longer, his eyes become blood-red with blue pupils, and a purple streak go across each cheek. Scary, ne?

Weapons:

His first weapon we see is his claws, but in episode 7 he finally is able to weild the sword his father left him, the famed Tetsusaiga, forged from his father's own fang, and capable of slaying 100 demons in one stroke!

Up side:

He's a hanyou with a heart. It's his will to protect Kagome which first activates the Tetsusaiga, and it's his wish to keep Miroku from dying that first unleashes the true power of the Tetsusaiga. He cares for Kagome (although he won't admit it, except in his human form), and loves a good fight!

Down Side:

Inuyasha resents being a half-demon, which has caused him to be tormented all his life by both sides of the tracks, demons and humans. And so, he developed a callous, rude, angry, everyone-fear-me-simply-because-you-know-I-can-kill-you attitude. It's this attitude that constantly makes him fight with Kagome. Unfortunately, a lot of those fights are due to Kikyo. When he sees Kikyo, when he compares Kagome to Kikyo, hell, the first time they fought it was because he mistook Kagome for Kikyo, calling her "Kikyo" repeatedly.

He also tends to become a full-blooded demon a few times, at which point his thoughts become primal, and he kills to kill.

Overall:

Great guy, but a bit annoying. He has his sweet moments, though. Now if only there were some way to make him be a little less mean. Also, one major ass-kicker, if I do say so myself!!
