On July 28, 1997, our son, David, and his wife, Krisan,
were blessed with the birth of their second little girl,
Quinn Amanda. Quinn was our third granddaughter.
She weighed 9 pounds, 3 ounces
and was 19 &1/2 inches long.
When Quinn entered the world, it appeared that all
was well with our new little Gift from God,
but she was born with a nevus (mole) on the right hemisphere
of her head and face. Quinn is currently undergoing a
series of surgeries to remove this nevus from her head and face.
When our little dolly was 3 months old she began
having seizures. During this time it was diagnosed
that she was born with an extremely rare disorder called
Epidermal Nevus Sebaceous Syndrome.
She has one of the only approximately 400
reported cases of this in the world.
Along with the seizure activity Quinn is vision
and hearing impaired, but to exactly what extent,
we are unsure at this point.
The right side of her little brain is underdeveloped.
Quinn has learned to walk and CLIMB
as you can see in this picture of her.
She is a bright little light that shines in the lives
of her parents, her big sister, Layne,
her grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Our little Sunshine faces many trials and obstacles
in her life as do her beloved parents. If you
are viewing this, we would greatly appreciate
your joining us in prayer here that God will
continue to daily be with her and her family and that
His Will shall be done in their life always.

Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be they name;
thy kingdom come,
they will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread;
and forgive us our trespasses as
we forgive those who trespass against us;
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.

Dear Heavenly Father,
With You we can be what You would choose
us to be, but without You, we are nothing.
I pray that You will be with Quinn Amanda
and her family as they live by Your Will in their lives.
We know that You work all things out for good
for those who love You and are called according
to Your plan. May they feel Your strength,
Your constant presence, and Your love
in their lives each and every moment.
We place each of them in
Your loving care, dear heavenly Father
for there is no better place for them to be.
This we pray in Your Holy Name, dear Father.
