KIOURKA .According to the history Afidnes is one of twelve famous cities of Attika, these twelve cities were created by King Kreop. All these cities again were all united by King Theseas to form the city of Athens.
Afidnes took its name after the hero Afidnos.
Afidnes , because of it's position has the most beautiful view , overlooking the villages Kapandriti - Polidendri ant the lake Marathon , the well known battle field where the Athenians beat the Persians during the Persians wars.
