Hairaway

– Or Alternately ‘adventures with a laser beam!!!’ (for the sci-fi fans)

Like it or not girls, most of us are cursed with a disgusting growth on our faces!!! And for the true princesses among us this simply will not do! I used to find the idea of dragging a razor across my face about as attractive as a sweaty docker!!! Note however I use the word ‘used’ though. Why do I use this word, have I run off and joined the circus as a bearded lady? Did it all fall out naturally??? No of course not, I have had it all removed, and I can honestly say that it wasn’t painful, expensive or Time consuming, I discovered the wonderful world of Hairaway!

Until recently if you wanted to get rid of the fuzz on the face! Your choices were limited to shaving, which was effective, but often left a shadow and was a strictly short-term solution, plucking, too time consuming and painful, or electrolysis. Electrolysis worked, mostly, but had disadvantages, the main one was that it took so long!!! The average person having electrolysis usually managed to get a hair free face about 4 years after they died!!! The other problem with Electrolysis was that it was so bloody painful, if you can imagine having a pin stuck in your face 300 times in half an hour, then you probably have had some electrolysis, and the final draw back was that there was the danger of being scarred!

So given that none of these options are really that attractive, Laser hair removal has burst onto the scene. Now I know what you are thinking dear reader, ‘laser hair removal is expensive’ well to be honest yes it is at most places but Hairaway really do offer it at affordable. Prices start at £30.00 for a 15min session, and unless you are particularly hairy, i.e. an extra from planet of the apes!!! This amount of time should be sufficient to do your entire face. After the first session you should notice a considerable reduction in the amount of fuzz on your face, and after about ten sessions you can throw the razor away!!!

I’m scared, does it hurt?

So, I suppose your thinking, ‘does it hurt’ well yes it does but the pain is very sudden and disappears within seconds. The face will be a little red and tender afterwards but it calms down within a couple of hours and there is very, very, very little chance of scarring, which is nice!

The Janet and John version of how it works!

The laser transmits heat energy down the shaft of the hair and this energy hits the root and kills it. The energy is transmitted threw the melanin in the hair, and this is the catch, it will only work on people who have dark hair, people with blond or red hair will get no or only partial results, so they will have to stick to the ancient methods! Sorry!
