My Poems

        Calling Me
Here I stand in a field alone
        I look to the North
        I hear wolves howling
        They are calling me
To the land where I arose
To the land where I shall fall
Come, come run with us to the land where your Spirit lives
        They seem to say
        They are calling me

        I look to the North
I see lights dancing in the sky
        They are calling me
To the land where I arose
To the land where I shall fall
Come, come dance with us to the land where your Spirit lives
        They are calling me

        I look to the North
        I see birds flying
        They are calling me
To the land where I arose
To the land where I shall fall
Come, come fly with us to the land where your Spirit lives
        They seem to say
        They are calling me.

        Spirits
        Hear them whisper
        through the pines
In the village where they grew
        The tepees once stood tall
And the people shone like crimson earth
All that's left is the stones that held the sacred fire
        The children lost
        Culture broken
What has become of the people who shone like crimson Earth
        Can you hear their Spirits?

        Lost
As I stand here waiting for the scattered dawn
I try to remember what I never knew
        As each day passes by
        I see it crumble
        Soon it will die
        Why was I left behind
        As I walk along
        Being pushed
        My heart fills with sadness
        And I cry.
