Bare Facts: Unknown ~ Born 2004 ~ Mother Lama ~ Father Unknown ~ Children None ~ ID Unknown (calf next to Lama)

Ta-aack was first seen in 2004, a newborn calf popping up next to mom Lama. Everyone was happy to see the 29-year-old female with a new baby, as it had been 7 years since her last calf.
Ta-aack joined a family of 8; mom Lama, grandma Ivory, uncles Hunter and Squally, and siblings Kisameet, Virago, Quadra and Diver.
The little calf seemed healthy and playful the first year, but next summer, C-Pod didn't show up in the Strait! In 2005, for some reason the family only entered the Strait a few times, and researchers weren't able to get a good survey done. No one was sure if Ta-aack had survived, and so the Killer Whale Adoption Program chose not to name him/her.
In 2006, however, the family bounced playfully into the Strait and paraded right in front of the researchers, showing off every member. In 2007, Ta-aack finally got its name, proving the calf has indeed survived the first three years of life!
