Notes:

Uno is used for counting purposes. When it functions as an adjetive, then it will change to modify the noun’s gender:

Un hombre

Una mujer

Veintiún hombres

Veintiuna mujeres

16-19 and 21-29 can be written either as three words (16 = diez y seis) or as one word (16 = deiciséis).

After 30, then the numbers are written the tenths place plus the ones place:

38 = treinta y ocho

49 = cuarenta y nueve

56 = cincuenta y cinco, etc

Cien is used for 100, but after 100 it is written as Ciento and is not followed by y (and):

100 = cien

120 = ciento veinte

155 = ciento cincuenta y cinco

Mil is always mil, there is not a plural form: un mil, dos mil, tres mil, etc.

Millón however does have a plural form (millones). Furthermore, you need to add the preposition de (of) in between it and the noun it is modifying:

10.000.000 persons = diez millones de personas

25.000.000 animals = veinticinco millones de animales
