Notes for Elias Davis: Most of the information for Elias Davis family was supplied by Laurann Potter Coleman 11207 Murraysville Drive, Spring Hill, FL 34609-2001. Note the greenback party was a former political party, organized in 1874, opposed to the returement of reduction of greenbacks and favoring their increase as the only paper currency.
In October 1996 the compilers spent a couple of days in Rosalia, Malden, Pine City, Sunset and St. John areas of Whitman county where we checked out every cemetery we came across. Found several Davis burials in the Pine City Cemetery as well as the Davis home in Sunset, WA where Elias and Milinda lived. We were able to confirm this was his home from Florence Henning who had lived in the house when whe was in high school. Florence also was well acquainted with Hohn Henning's (see Edith Adell Davis data) second wife, Lulu Wilson Parrish. This compiler, Laurann Coleman, has an old picture of this home, taken when Elias and Melinda lived there. Another picture was taken in October 1996 - it really hasn't changed much.
