The house is no longer there but this is a photo of their farm house in earlier years.

This is a "winter" photo of my Grandparents old farm house on the "high plains". The house was sold and moved to Lockney. It was falling down and suffering from the elements and vandalism when granddad had to move into Lockney before he passed away.

Jerry Davis told me the irrigation dried up and the farm is now dry, except for a weak water source at granddad's old place. Jerry bought that fourty acres and it is the only remaining portion of the land he now farms. All the farmers in that area either moved out, started dry farming or leased out their land after the water table went dry. Apparently the irrigation table is not dry a few miles away there are quite a few farmers still using that water source. This area is north of Lockney, Texas in the Plainview area, about 2 miles from Sterley, Texas.
