A few of my notes to explain the article. He is the son of James Davis, a near neighbor, of James B Davis family. This James Davis, born 1797, is buried at Wildt Farm about two miles from Clark Cemetary according to handwritten notes on margins of various sources. This James Davis was the father-in-law of Edward Davis who married his daughter Julia Ann Davis.
