Is once saved, always saved for Christians?

It is the hidden question in me and I suspect many others. Am I claiming salvation I don't have?
If I have salvation do I have to worry about losing it? Yes, but I don't have to fear losing it.
How do I know that I am saved? Works produced by faith in Jesus.
Am I saying that works can save you? No, it is first by faith (believe) and faith (belief) will then afterwards produce works. Many have works and morals without believing or surrendering to Jesus to act in their life. I've been guilty of that and that's how I know for myself, and guess for others.
I surrendered to Jesus, how about you -- it is between Jesus and you personally.
I'm saved, I know it, but many Christians question if I have any work and hint that I'm not saved. God judges me thru Jesus. Fellow Christians judge me through their application of the bible, the spirit and legal code of America, hopefully to the better of their ability as fellow human beings to do so.

I was led back to salvation in Christ Jesus at my mom's funeral 31 August 2002, but the precher didn't save me, Jesus did. He is the only one that can save anyone from sin. God won't till Jesus says so and then it's a "done deal". Jesus tells me not to "sweat the small suff like breathing or keeping the flesh going in me but to sweat the big stuff like keeping him in charge of me and he'll handle the rest. Jesus is more than enough for me or anyone else. It's no secret what God can do, what he's done for others he'll do for you.

More to the point. The "once saved allways saved question hides an insecurity and a nagging doubt as to our own individual faith in Jesus. How do we know that we know that we are saved or also as Jesus asked his desciples, "Whom do you say that I am?" in your own heart?
The fruit of salvation: mentioned prevalently in the bible
We cannot be saved by works alone,
if we have salvation there will be works or "fruit" of the salvation Jesus gave us. = results. We cannot save ourselves.
The hardest thing is the easiest - turn it all over to Jesus.
Let go and Let God
Mat 7.20-23
20. wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
21. Not everyone that sayeth unto me, Lord Lord shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
22. Many will say unto me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23. And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
Mat 7.13-14
13. Enter ye in at the straight gate; for wide is the gate that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat
14. Because straight is the gate and narrow is the way which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
Mat 7.27 ".....; and it fell: and great was the fall of it."
And we know that we know by 1 John 5.13, "These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.
