This is photo of Wilbur Foraker and Cyrus Davis, possibly at Mason Davis farm. Maye Davis is behind them in photo. Cyrus Allen Davis was father of Clifford L Davis who contributed much to the Davis family history on these pages, and Maye Davis is his mother. Wilbur Foraker was the first husband of Katharyn Davis, daughter of Mason Oliver Davis and Fannie Davis. Wilbur died and many years later Katharyn married Jack Smith in the Hale Center, Plainview area of Texas. Wilbur was one of a kind, a really kind and good man. Aunt Katharyn sent letter experessing how glad she was to have found Jack Smith after Wilbur had passed away. I also spent a summer or two at Katharyn and Wilbur's farm while growing up. Aunt Katharyn told me about Wilbur's struggle with cancer. He wasn't worried he was ready to meet Jesus and was at peace within by Katharyn's words. It was harder on Katharyn. His promise in John 16:33 is true as witnessed by Wilbur Foraker's life.
