Laclede's Landing Lunch at Hannegan's
We spent Saturday October 24th in St.Louis, Missouri. It was a perfect autumn day along the banks of  the Mississippi River.  We had lunch outdoors at Hannegan's... an establishment in Laclede's Landing.

Hagen at the St.Louis Zoo
It didn't take us long to figure out that Hagen was the "class clown". We asked a gorilla at the St.Louis Zoo to pose for a photo... and he obliged.

Can you guess which one is the gorilla?

Sitting under the Gateway Arch
Heather, Hagen and Ryan posed for this photo on the steps leading to the Gateway Arch.  The Arch is part of the Jefferson Memorial National Park, as is the "Old Capital" whose dome is seen just behind Heather.
The biggest disappointment was that the tram rides to the top of the Arch were sold out by the time we got there. Nevertheless we enjoyed seeing the museum and watching a fascinating video on how the Arch was constructed. That's always been the best part for me.

Hagen and a Park Ranger on horseback
When we left the Arch we stopped for another "photo op"... with the Park Ranger on horseback. We could tell that Hagen hadn't been around horses much when he approached the horse by walking behind it.  Ouch!! That'll leave a mark!
