BACKGROUND:
The real name of The Ace of Spades is unknown.He
was one of the founders of Heavy Metal and worked off and on with the group
for some ten years before finally quitting in ’96.No
one knows what he was doing in all that off time, but when Rooster found
him he was more than ready to re-join.
The new Heavy Metal was
defeated by The Vindicators and was incarcerated. Later he was freed
from prison by the Tandians and led an assault on the Pacific Guard headquarters,
which ended in disaster. One of the few vampiric survivors, he is
now incarcerated once more.
PERSONALITY:
The Ace of Spades is a mercenary with a mercenary’s mindset.He
does nothing if there is no personal gain or profit involved.He
is more than happy to avoid a fight, something that caused him to come
into conflict with his more rowdy team mates.Now
that Rooster controls the group he is happy to be back with the team.
POWERS:
Ace is a vampire, with a vampire’s powers.He
is inhumanly strong, capable of lifting and throwing a small car, is highly
resistant to conventional forms of injury and can fly for short periods.He
has prenatural senses and it is very tough to sneak up on him even in armor.Ace
heals very quickly from wounds, but needs fresh blood with which to do
so.
Ace
also has a vampire’s weaknesses; he is vulnerable to silver and sunlight,
and a wooden stake or length of iron through the heart will kill him permanently.He
needs to feed on blood periodically, else he will either die of hunger
or will go mad with bloodlust.
EQUIPMENT:
Ace wears a suit of armor composed of advanced ceramics and plastics.It
is lightweight and affords him a wide range of movement.The
helmet has a dark face plate that fastens securely and allows him to see
without being adversely affected by sunlight.The
armor has several blood packs that Ace can feed upon intravenously in times
of an emergency.
