Name: Cuchulainn “Lain” Thomas

Background – Amy “Moonshade” Thomas was a Wicca priestess.  Following a coven ceremony, Amy had a dream of a very handsome man.  The man’s hair was brown at the top, red in the middle, and ended in strands of gold.  The most unusual thing about him, however, was that he had seven pupils in each eye, each one gleaming like a gem.  A golden light seemed to always shine down from above onto his forehead.  Looking through her books of lore, she discovered the man from her dream was the Irish hero Cuchulainn.  A few weeks later she discovered she was pregnant.

Eight months later Cuchulainn Thomas was born, an extremely healthy baby boy.  His mother was convinced he was the reincarnation of the Irish hero.  He seemed to be a normal baby, but he never got sick, never caught a cold.  When he was five, he started school and became very competitive.  He was stronger than other children and faster then them and did very well in physical games.  Unfortunately, he started getting into fights, usually leaving the other child bloodied.  Once he proved himself, though, he became protective, never bullying and making sure no one bullied a child he had taken under his protection.

As he approached adolescence, his strength grew more than expected, far outstripping those of other adolescents.  He became involved in junior varsity sports, playing against children two or three years older than him and still becoming a star player.  Football, baseball, hockey, it did not matter.  That ended though, when he continued to grow in strength and it became obvious he was a paranormal.  He was forbidden to participate in school sports and his awards were taken away from him.

Without the distraction of team sports and suffering from the humiliation of losing all of the accolades he had won, he started getting in fights again.  His mother, never a good disciplinarian, did not know what to do.  She knew her son, the reincarnation of a great hero, was destined for greatness, but had no idea how to curb his aggression or wild streak.  He is in high school and not paying attention to his studies and lost interest in sports.  She was afraid he may join a gang, so she signed him up for the Dynamics, hoping it will straighten him out and help him fulfill his destiny.

Appearance – Lain has always been attractive and despite his constant fist fights, he has not scars to mar his looks.  He is sixteen years old and short for his age, standing only five foot one and weighing 145 lbs.  He has shoulder length reddish gold hair and blue eyes.

Powers – Lain has superhuman strength, toughness, and reflexes.  He also seems to have a natural aptitude for fighting, though he has had no formal training.  He reacts quickly to new situations in a fight and seems to have a strategic mind far beyond what would be expected.

Personality – Lain is aggressive and competitive, but fiercely loyal.  Though he cares about his mother, he thinks she is a bit of a nut cake with her touchy-feely new ageiness.  He never knew his father and has no siblings.  His chief interests are sports, girls, and trying to get booze, not necessarily in that order.  He also hates his first name and has gotten into fights with people making fun of it.  Instead, he goes by Lain.
