ORIGIN: Horace was always a rebel and a young punk.  Growing up in financially distressed Liverpool, he was in trouble with the law even at a young age and wound up getting more than his fair share of beatings from police and other youths alike.  During one such run-in with the law his stress levels went through the roof and his powers emerged.  He wound up seriously wounding several officers before he took flight.

At first Horace hid his powers but soon he began to realize the profit in employing them in crimes.  Soon he was running afowl of such notable heroes as The Cavalier and Tinkerer Tom.  He had taken the name Neon Knight from a Black Sabbath song and his exploits garnered him some fame in the underworld.

But he kept losing.  Or at least he would not win, having to run off before being captured.  He realized he needed to run with a gang.  He had met one or two other “super criminals” and formed some alliances but nothing ever lasted very long.  Then he answered an ad a man calling himself War Pig had submitted in an underground newspaper.  Realizing this was a fellow ‘Sabbath fan, ‘Knight answered it.  Soon Heavy Metal was born.

Horace is the longest lasting member of Heavy Metal, surviving every incarnation.  Some say he will die a member of the group.  That might even be true.

POWERS/SKILLS: Neon Knight is able to manipulate photonic energy for a wide array of effects.  He is able to fire off coherent beams in a laser, create blinding pulses, holographic illusions, a “photonic force field” and somehow through some unknown method fly.

 Horace is a veteran of The Game; he knows every dirty trick and he  has a phenomenal mastery of his powers.  He is still a very respected member of the underworld world wide; few paranormals have managed to stay at large as long as he has and this has netted him a high regard.  Younger punks who think firing beams of energy from their eyes or possessing great strength have challenged him before to make a name for themselves, but he has always prevailed.

EQUIPMENT: Horace hardly uses any equipment, relying soley upon his powers and his wits.
