In order for the game to run more smoothly, please observe the following rules:
1. This is an "R" game. That means there may be harsh language, sexual situations as well as blood and gore. That does not mean this is "Sex Trek" or is a purely combat-oriented game, though. I still try to stay true to the essence of 'Trek; exploration, adventure and teamwork.
2. Refrain from Playing God. Some campaigns allow this, but in this one you write your own character, and only your own character and in some cases NPCs.
3. Players should post as often as they can. You must try to post at least twice a week.
4. Players may take a leave of absense, which means if you are ill, your personal life is overwhelming you or you are going on vacation you can let me know and we can either put your character on hiatus or run him temporarily as an NPC. I know your real life sometimes gets in the way and I try to be understanding about it.
5. Do not kill any player characters!
POSTING FORMAT
Players will write in a narrative, past tense format. I do not need excessive symbols to determine whether or not they are speaking to themselves or aloud, but proper use of these "" would be nice.
While some games insist that you list things like your name, rank, etc. at the top or bottom of a post, as long as you indicate which character is posting in the body of the post that should be sufficient. We are here to have fun and having to remember each and every rule regarding posting format is just a drag.
I am using an Action/Reaction format, meaning that you should not single-handedly win a battle. Your character performs an action and the GM tells you what happens as a result.
As I said earlier, only write your own character and in some cases NPCs. If you wish to do a joint posting with someone-the GM, player, NPC, anybody-call their attention with their names in one of these with the word "respond" like so: <respond GM>
When you speak out of character post the
paragraph and/or sentence with an "OOC:" so we know it. When you
begin writing in character post a "IC:" first.
