SPECIES: Wrin
BIOLOGY: The Wrin are a near-amorphous, boneless species with no definitive organs. Their brains are spread throughout their bodies. They do not have eyes but they are photo-sensitive nerves throughout their skin giving them a rudimentary eyesight, and they have highly acute hearing, touch and smell. Their skin is both flexible but very tough, providing them with protection from great tempurature extremes and physical trauma. These advantages come at a cost, as the average wrin's physical speed and reflexes are slower than most sentient species of comparable size. Full grown Wrin can adopt a variety of forms but they usually retain a tripedal shape about four feet high. Full grown Wrin usally weigh about 300 pounds. Sexless, the Wrin procreate via multi-fission; when certain bio-chemical changes occur within a Wrin body, it will break into several smaller versions of the original. In this state the Wrinlings a confused and helpless and it is some months before the memories of the original are collated and accessable, and not all memories are retained. POLITICS/SOCIETY: The wrin are generally a peace-loving species although in the past they have been involved in several major conflicts, acting mostly as engineers, medics and serving in other support capacities as their poor speed. Wrin societies are always socialist/communist; the Wrin do not believe in personal ownership of anything save their own bodies and what they can carry within them. TECHNOLOGICAL SOPHISTICATION: The Wrin's technical background is basic for an interstellar society, but they truly excel at bio/life sciences. They have pioneered symbiotic science, the creation of special-purpose life forms that give users various abilities. The Translato-worm is especially popular. |

SPECIES: Falimore
BIOLOGY: A species bearing a passing resemblance to Earth canines (or werewolves), the Falimore species are warm blooded, with an enhanced sense of smell and hearing. Their vision is able to see color, but they are rather near sighted compared to average humanoid species. Average adult Falimore stand a little over six feet tall and weigh roughly two hundred pounds, with females out-massing males by an average of twenty pounds. Females give birth to single young, but twins and triplets are not uncommon. POLITICS/SOCIETY: Falimore practice a variety of political systems on their worlds, although they lean towards oligarchal systems of government focusing upon select influential representatives of their society. It is believed this is in part biological, the pack being led by a small group of alpha males and females. They are no more or less territorial than other species and are quite civilized, although they can prove to be fierce warriors in battle. Falimore are like most humanoids when it comes to war in that they can be war-like but most see war as an option, not a way of life. TECHNOLOGICAL SOPHISTICATION: Falimore are no more or less technically adept than other moderately advanced space faring races. They achieved space and hyper travel on their own and have created an impressive array of large scale and personal weapons. |

SPECIES: Benzo
BIOLOGY: Benzo are an ambphibious race that stand almost eight feet tall. The possess a very durable hide and tough, sharp claws that are excellent in both combat and climbing. Their vision is poor and their hearing is average, but they have an excellent sense of smell. POLITICS/SOCIETY: Benzo most typically run wild free market capitalist societies where massive corporations rule over their planets. Everything, from social services to police forces are provided by the corporations. Every Benzo is part of a union of some sort and often times wars can break out between unions with conflicting interests (or unions paid by corporate heads to act as muscle) or more rarely, union coalitions against corporate heads, which can either crush the unions, force corporate heads to capitulate to union demands, or force the corp to declare bankruptcy, leaving it vulnerable to hostile takeovers from other corporations. Corporate wars can be very, very nasty things. TECHNOLOGY LEVEL: Benzo are technically sophisticated, especially in the field of life support and hostile environment habitation. Hruuurrr's Habitats are known galaxy wide for their high quality emergency shelters and long term habidomes. |

SPECIES: Corburu
BIOLOGY: Coming from a light gravity world, the Corburu are more fragile than most other interstellar species. They stand five feet high and ar warm blooded. Their senses are mostly average. They have two sexes, although they look so much alike it is impossible to tell the sexes apart unless they were naked. POLITICS/SOCIETY: The Corburu are a warrior race, eager to prove themselves against "heavies", their term for most species. This makes them a big pushy. Their politics are mostly monarchies with various family lines dating back many centuries before their ascension into space. They are a mildly matriarchal society in that family lines pass through the female and queens rule. TECHNOLOGY: Necessity has made the Corburu masters of gravity. They wear durable gravity harnesses that allow them to combat heavier Gs. These harnesses also make them very agile in combat. A contingent of Corburu grav commandos is a wonder to behold in action...provided you aren't their target. |

SPECIES: Xur
BIOLOGY: Xur are a humanoid species standing roughly eight feet tall. From a world with a dim red sun, their skin and eyes are sensitive to light. They are highly intelligent, but also a bit more fragile than other sentient species, with Corburu being the only other well known race more prone to damage than them. GOVERNMENT/SOCIETY: An old race, the Xur government seems more like anarchist in nature. There are no elected officials, merely ancient families that work in a cooperative effort to insure everything runs smoothly. TECHNOLOGY: |

SPECIES: Axonusar
BIOLOGY: The Axonusar is a species that has some relation to insects. They possess a very tough exo-skeleton, have an excellent sense of smell due to their antennae but this is offset by poor vision, being relatively far sighted and having poor night vision. Males and females are very different (male shown in picture). Males stand between six and seven feet tall and have tremendously quick reflexes that make them dangerous in battle. Females stand up to nine feet tall and are slower, but much stronger. Females are seldom seen in public. Males out-number females ten to one, this is due to males being workers and warriors. In the event of a society not having a female, some males might undergo a remarkable biological change and become females! During mating season females might fall into a feeding frenzy, slaying dozens of males in a sexual fog. Males consider this a glorious end to life. POLITICS: Axonusar are purely matriarchal, females have complete control over their society and the males are biologically as well as socially compelled to obey. In fact, the relationship is almost a Theological one, with females being seen as one step short of gods. TECHNOLOGY LEVEL: Axonusar are not very technologically sophisticated. They are able to understand and manipulate interstellar technology but have not made any innovations of their own. Males make a living mostly as mercenaries/bodyguards and can be found all across the settled galaxy. |

SPECIES: Humans
Biology: Humans are a bipedal, four limbed warm blooded species found in one form or another all across the galaxy. Their senses are generally average; while some races can see, hear or smell better than them, they are well served by not being "specialized". POLITICS: Humans practice all manner of politics, from the most enlightened to the most base. TECHNOLOGY LEVEL: Humans employ a wide variety of technology depending upon the planet. They have been found on worlds in the most primitive conditions, while others have created some of the most powerful interstellar civilizations known. |
