SPACE SUITS: While many members of the
Cosmic Defenders are able to handle dangerous environments others have
need of protection in harsh space. The space suits provided by Brian
Griffith's people may be primitive compared to some highly advanced civilization,
but they are durable and based on tried and true technology. They
also have communications equipment in the helmest. |

COMMUNICATORS: Found in a crate on the
scout ship, the communicators are advanced and critical pieces of equipment
that can transmit from a planetary surface to low orbit. They also
come equipped with translators.
Most communicators can act as homing beacons,
and some can provide medical personnel with diagnostic information. |

TRANSLATORS: Interstellar civilizations
employ several common language, "trade tongues" that facilitate communication.
But translators of various types are widely available. More advanced
translators are called earworms; they are tiny living creatures that rest
in the aural cavity of most sentients and allow the wearer to understand
what is being verbally spoken to them as well as understand a limited number
of written languages "programmed" into the worm (verbal languages can be
learned and stored by the useful creature). Other translators are
mechanical in nature with an ability to also learn new ones. Many
mechanical translators can also translate a limited number of written languages
if they are held before the text. |

REPAIR BOT: Found deactivated in the machine
shop, the repair bot had apparently been partially disassembled for repairs/maintenance.
The 'bot seems to have a very basic intelligence and is not very well motivated,
and it sees itself as the property of whomeve is in charge of the ship.
The bot rolls around on four wheels, but
when work on the hull of the ship is necessary it is able to deploy four
magnets over the coasters to make it's way across the skin of the ship.
It is full of a variety of useful tools to affect repairs. It stands
three feet tall. |

TOOLS: From lazer welders to hydro spanners,
the ship contains numerous tools critical to the maintenance and repair
of the ship and it's equipment. |

MOTORCYCLES: While the technology is comparatively
primitive by the standards of many races, on some frontier worlds such
vehicles would actually fit in. The motorcycles are battery powered
and can be charged on board the ship, and some spare parts have also been
provided. The two motorcyles are stored in the port escape pod alcove. |

WEAPONS: While ECLIPSE seemed to strip
the ship of almost everything not bolted down-and a few things that were-a
few arms were found hidden in different parts of the vessel. Several
stunners were discovered, weapons designed for ship board use to subdue
boarders without drilling holes in the hull or damaging key components.
A pair of blasters were also found.
Both stunners and blasters are powered
by battery packs that can be recharged on the ship. |
