NESpresso: Archives \ February 9, 2005 Entry

Welcome back to NESpresso, where the past is slowing catching up with us... not that there's anything wrong with that. This is a special Double-Update as my scheduled update for Monday was delayed due to a misplaced floppy that had files I needed to update my site. With that floppy now back in my possession (Note to self: pick up some USB drives), I've made the additions.

First of all, feel free to read my mini-rant about "leekspeek" in the previous update (which wasn't uploaded until now). Again, I feel that people who use "leekspeek" need to take some offline the web & login to reality. Again, I don't see why anybody would spend like 5 - 15 minutes to build a "leet alphabet" with all the alt codes just to make you look an ounce cooler than what you really are... especially during a real-time deathmatch where stopping to type out an obscure message. If everybody would write everything in plain english (or any other language that uses the same alphanumeric ASCII characters).

Second, the CyberDictionary is still empty at this time as I've been busy doing some offline work. I'll still have to visit the Internet Archives to see if they actually archived any of the old Dictionary Pages. After I get a decent ammount of Cyberslang terms in there, I'll probably compile them into a single PDF document so people don't have to go visit my site (which would be good for my site's ego, but bad for my bandwidth) to figure out what certain Cyberslang terms are.

Third, I've added 2 new affiliate buttons to the listings just to complete the affiliates rotation. Once I get a few more affiliate buttons, I'll add a random affiliate lister so everybody will have a shot on getting on this page. I'll try to make sure that no button gets double-posted. I would have listed only 3 buttons, but I'm keeping my own affiliate button visible for those who want (or need) to pick up the button.

Finally, I'm working on getting my personal pages ready for online viewing (at the moment, the Javascript is giving me headaches). Most of you probably won't get to access these pages, but that's your problem because I'm going to make it difficult for everybody to get past.
