NESpresso: Random Thoughts \ Idea #007: "L is Real 2041" Theory

As part of the N-files, here's a theory on a old Ninendo Mystery. Back in 1996, players of Super Mario 64 have stared at the fountain in the back courtyard (a little too much, in my opinion) & made out the writing on the plaque of the Star as "L is Real 2041". As mysterious as the message was, nobody (not even NOA) has an idea on what it means... This is when I took a stab at making sense of this message.

After 30 minutes of examining the plaque & using a whiteboard to write down the message (for editing/manipulation purposes), I believe that my findings would be the strongest held theory to this message. My theory is that "L is Real 2041" actually reads "Toadstool 1981" & 15 years of damage & neglect as morph the text to what others have read as "L is Real 2041". Below is a very cheesy example how this could happen:

As you can see in the example just how the text that can be manipulated throughout those years. To build on my theory, the plaque could be a gravestone or a memorial for Princess Peach Toadstool's parents. However, this part of the theory has been challenged by others. To add a theory on top of a theory (I guess this is how some of these outrageous conspiracy theories get developed), Peach's parents are considered missing or legally dead... we've never seen or heard from them, therefore this would be the most convient theory. Another theory is that it's Peach's Grandfather (Peach's Grandmother is known to be alive, based her being in Super Mario RPG) is buried underneath, which is possible as well.
