Morris Brown Defeats TSU Football

    HOUSTON (AP) _ Stanley Hardy threw a 58-yard touchdown pass to Laquonne Holden with just over four minutes left to play, giving Morris Brown a 31-24 win over Texas Southern on Saturday night. Morris Brown (3-5) had a 24-10 lead entering the fourth quarter, but Texas Southern quarterback Adam Lamb threw two touchdown passes to Cortez Hankton to tie the score at 24. Hardy's game-winning touchdown pass to Holden was his third of the contest. Hardy finished 7-of-21 for 219 yards and 36 rushing yards, but he was sacked three times. Texas Southern (3-6) was led by running back Waymon Steed's 112 rushing yards and Lamb, who threw for 223 yards and an interception with three touchdowns. Hankton had six receptions for 121 yards and all three of Lamb's touchdown throws.

    The Tigers return to action, 7:00 p.m., Saturday, November 10 against Southern in the Reliant Astrodome in Houston, TX.
