TSU Men's Basketball Fall to Alabama A&M

    HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (AP) _ Nigel Moore and Desmond Cambridge led Alabama A&M with 18 points each to a 73-56 win over Texas Southern.

    Moore also pulled down 10 rebounds, and Cambridge sunk four 3-pointers.

    Alabama A&M (8-7, 5-4 Southwestern Athletic Conference) defeated Texas Southern (4-13, 4-4) on rebounds and turnovers.

    Alabama A&M grabbed 47 rebounds to Texas Southern's 38. Also, A&M forced 25 turnovers and gave up 14.

    Texas Southern shot poorly from behind the 3-point line, making 1-of-17.

    Stephen Hoyer scored 18 for Texas Southern and made the lone 3-pointer.

    Cambridge had six steals but didn't shoot well from the field, making only 5-of-20. He also led the team with 10 assists.

    TSU returns to action, 7:30 p.m., Saturday, February 2 against Prairie View A&M in Prairie View, Texas.
