Mauritania's southern neighbor is Senegal. On the southeast and east Mauritania adjoins Mali, and on the northeast it borders Algeria. To the west Mauritania has a 700-km (435-mi) coastline on the Atlantic. To the northwest Mauritania borders Morocco and the disputed territory of Western Sahara. | |
