Part II: Character Information
Character Name:
Iriosal "Irio" Blodyn

Name Meaning:
In Scottish Gaelic, Iriosal means "Humble." This is pronounced Aye-r-ju-sal (Gotta love that Gaelic language!) Flower is Blodyn in Welsh. Luckily, this is pronounced Blow-din (yay!). Together it means Humble Flower, as the Scarlet Pimpernel describes it in the famous book of his name. Since most people can't pronounce her name, she just has people call her Ee-ree-oh, Irio.

Character Position:
Sailor Pimpernel

Gender:
Femme fatale

Birthdate and Age / Astrological Sign:
February 22nd, 18, Aquarius

Physical Details:
Standing at around 5'3", she may be a touch on the short side, but not quite. Irio's defining feature is her hair. Roughly cut, wavy and green (no descriptive adjective necessary), it is often the thing that makes people remember her. (This is anime, I figure it doesn't have to be dyed, it can be natural.) She wears it in a variety of styles; however, she is usually just lazy and leaves it down. The only time it isn't wavy is when it's wet. Then it's straight. Umm, yeah. Her face is pale and white, with nary a hint of a tan. Her red eyes gave her the nickname of Christmas Tree in grade school, but are now often accentuated with white eye shadow. They are very round, giving the 18-year-old a much younger appearance. Matching her eyes are pouty lips, coated in a deep shade of shiny red, or occasionally something a little more drastic.
She's built slim, and (lucky her) she has a very hard time gaining weight, and weighs only 105 lbs. She retains her curves well however. The only seemingly muscled place on her body is her hamstrings and calves, and even they are only strong enough to run fast. She doesn't stand up straight and she doesn't slouch (that much). She walks like she doesn't care. She's having fun, why should she care what someone else thinks when they see her walking.
Her voice is happy, but usually seems slightly tired, like she's been staying up too late. Giggling is out, but single "ha's" or "hmph" laughs are common. There is no one way to describe Iriosal's "style." It is never readily describable, always changing to incorporate some new fad or idea. Too keep up with her choices in fashion, she has learned to sew and edit some of her own clothes, some of which she sells. She makes a fair amount of money from her clothes, buying used pieces, and making new clothes. This also churns a profit when sold on eBay©! Anyway, she almost always wears platforms of at least an inch, usually 2", making her feel taller. Her school outfit is the typical St. Fiacre white dress shirt and skirt, except she studied the rules to figure out she could technically wear her rainbow armbands, and a tie like from boarding school, except green. It just wouldn't be Iriosal without it. She settles for boring old flat shoes at school, and always feels really short. Check out another pic.

Bloodtype:
B! Irio loves trying new things and being the one to be bold.

Likes:
Her rainbow arm warmers - She likes them because they are practically one of a kind (for her at least) and very distinctive in a town like Adelard. She wears them at all times possible, occasionally even to formal affairs (this causes a stir, but she's too obsessed with them to care). It is impossible to mention Iriosal without mentioning her arm warmers.

1960's-70's history - Irio finds the 60's and 70's the time of change in so many ways. They revolutionized fashion, governmental acceptance and even sex. Iriosal has always felt that she would have fit in perfectly in the 70's, maybe even started a new fad, what with the bright colors and all. The music was also fantabulous. She discovered it while flipping radio stations after moving to Michigan. She discovered a classic rock radio station, and since then has been entranced by the rebellious lyrics and calmer tracks. (Irio - "Anyone ever says anything bad about 'Baba O'Reilly,' and I will shove my henshin bracelet down your throat and pull it out the other end!" Well, maybe not THAT extreme, but the point is made, no?)

Vegetarians - Her bumper sticker (on her bike) "Heart Attacks - God's Revenge for eating his Animal Friends." She is a vegetarian; however, she'll occasionally succumb to a bite of chicken. She doesn't feel guilty, she thinks they're stupid animals anyway. Irio also can't afford tofu, so she eats a lot of protein bars and shakes and beans and peanuts and so forth. Need I say more? (Gosh, I hope not...)

Marijuana - She IS NOT an addict. She has smoked it maybe three times, and has to admit that she likes flavor and feeling. She smoked on three separate occasions, and three separate places. One small joint is enough to give her a small high, and that's usually all she wants anyway. "Don't get addicted to something you may not want to do the rest of your life," quoth she.

Dislikes:
Hard Rap - The music is non-existent, it's just beats. That's not cool for her. It's all about the lyrics though, and occasionally there'll be a song that actually says something that she agrees with. Irio does, however, like to understand the lyrics, and cussing isn't right up her alley, so most songs just don't settle with her.

Adults - Irio has no doubt in her mind that 90% of adults have completely forgotten how to live. She understands the importance of rules, but no adult in her life has ever wanted to go bungee jumping, or play with dolls or GI Joe's, or walk into a mall and start randomly smelling people. A kid would, and so would she. Well, most of the time anyway.

One-track minds - Irio cannot stand to be around people who only talk about how great America is and how they have never done anything wrong. Let me rephrase, she dislikes people who talk about how a certain thing has no alternatives and should only be done one way. Flex; admit that you aren't perfect. Jeez.

Bad Weather - A little rain doesn't bother her, it's the snow and superbad thunderstorms that do. She shuts herself inside and is perfectly content to stay there until the weather is calmed down. This habit probably started when a kid at boarding school told Irio that lightning was caused by God sneezing and that all non-Christian sinners got bolted and died. She learned afterwards that God doesn't sneeze lightning bolts, and that Christians are nice people too, just like all Irio's non-Christian friends. But she still hates inclimate weather.

Hobbies:
Irio has so many hobbies, it is just that they are rather random. Irio rarely keeps hobbies for more than a few weeks, though there is one notable exception: making clothes. She'll buy Goodwill clothes and then reassemble them into original pieces. Some she sells, some she makes for presents, some she keeps. Her arm warmers are the simplest form of her handiwork. Other fashion type hobbies have constantly occupied her time, such as making sketches of her new fad ideas.

Personality:
Let's see, to start, Irio's immediate personality is breezy and changeable, hiding a strong will that can be brought out when pressured. However, this is counteracted by the fact that she can be very hesitant to reveal her inner self to people, and doesn't make best friends easily or by any means well. She's proud and strong, walking into whatever she is doing like it was the most natural thing in the world. This can make her the worst person to wait for, because when she is not pressured, she can change her mind at every tiny thing.

Irio puts as much energy into her choices as she does into her exuberant happiness. When she is around people, she is upbeat, but luckily not manic. She tries her very best to find an upside to every situation and shares it with those around her. She doesn't want to have downers hanging around her because people who are sad or depressed often *gasp* care about what people think. Hence Irio's daily work of keeping acquaintances happy.

Irio really doesn't care about the people who stare at her when she wears her outfits, nor does she care about the pretend groupies who think wearing retro is a new fad. Most people just avoid her on the basis that she is schizophrenic (she's not, but Irio lets them think that...) She carries the ability to help people make decisions and usually make them happy, but when she walks alone, she has a tendency to look so distracted and deep in thought that people leave her alone. She is a lover and a peacemaker in general and would rather patiently listen to a bunch of ranting then deal with it than scream and moan at the person to shut up and/or kick their sorry excuse for an ass.

While Irio can often empathize with most people, she often doesn't try to make a lasting connection with them mostly because she is very slow to trust anyone. This gives her a lot of aquaintances and a very few friends. When she is out with people, she's more about having fun, and is very good at interacting without getting attached. A fabulous party-girl. She also has an innate sense of when someone is lying, and she hates being lied to. She's liberal enough in her opinions that she feels threatened when someone can't tell her the truth. Her often-happy personality hides her deep mistrust of most people, and in truth, she's a little scared to release her trust to even her best of friends. Irio usually has a gut reaction to things, and she follows those feelings. For example, if a guy was dared to ask her out, she'll usually guess right off that he doesn't actually want to go out, he's doing it for ulterior motives. She'll turn him down with a sarcastic comment and a devious laugh.

Being around Irio is never boring. Her fashion isn't the only thing that changes often. She rarely sets her mind to something, but when she does, beware her will. There is never a consatnt hobby or favorite, which, when it comes down to it, is because the world is ever changing. Iriosal just takes in all the new information that is presented, and changes accordingly. Quickly adapting to most situations is both a blessing and a curse because not everyone can adapt to her rapid changes.

Irio despises when information isn't presented in an upfront manner. Even if it makes things a little difficult, it is better to have the information out in the open instead of twisting it to suit your needs. The only exception to this rule is if the information might hurt someone in the immediate vicinity. Even then don't twist the words, just don't say it. The person most people see when they want sympathetic advice is Irio because she hands it out in her own special upbeat, totally blunt manner. Especially about boyfriends. If that man did something stupid, and made his girl cry, he'd better be praying that his girl isn't talking to Irio. She'll be the first and longest to complain about him and point out every negative aspect he ever held to make that girl feel better, even if she barely met him. You can bet she'd do the same for a guy too. After their reaffirmation, the person often leaves and Irio forgets the conversation and heads back to do whatever it was she was going to do or was doing.

With an attitude like that, what in the world could she do at school? Well, a lot actually! When she first came back from boarding school, she attended St. Fiacre, probably her parents final attempt to make her a good little Catholic girl. She was determined, however, to do things her way, and tried to change some of the rules. It has always bothered her to wear the same thing every day, especially when everybody else is wearing the exact same thing she's supposed to wear. Just to change things up a little, she read the rules studiously, and found all the little accessories she could wear without actually breaking the rules. Her armbands were a lucky allowance, and these very things have made her a schoolwide marvel. Most people think that she is too distracted to focus on school. She is actually a wonderful student (which is probably the only reason she got to keep the tie and armbands) and has earned some of the substitute teacher's appreciation and admiration. Well, at least as long as the curriculum can keep her attention.

One of Irio's main faults is her tendency to get bored with things. Sometimes, the only things that keeps Iriosal focused during school is the fact that good grades through high school and the first two years of college means that she can afford a real place of her own. Irio also tends to become so detached from her immediate environment that she sort of lives in a disorderly, chaotic hodgepodge of ideas and previous projects, though this probably bothers her family more than it bothers her. This describes her apartment in Aida Towers and her general state of thought. It also makes long drawn out projects at school, or planning anything, very difficult.

History:
Neither of Iriosal's parents was ever well-known or high class. Her mother had secretarial skills, and was studying at Strathclyde University for a chance of getting a better job. Lynnea Koritsi met the handsome young Calonnog Blodyn while in her English class. Calonnog was a respectable guy, with a higher-middle class background and a good income. Long story short, they fell in love and after finishing college, decided to move back to America. They lived with Lynnea's parents in Cambridge for awhile, then decided to move west, and into Kansas. There, they married and settled down for awhile. Though in general happy, the moving had taken its toll. Much of the money Calon (his nickname) had remaining from his family and college was gone, and Lynnea was expecting a child. He found a job as a substitute math and science teacher, and began pulling in enough of an income to keep their house on the outskirts of Topeka. But when it came right down to it, he asked his parents to foot the bill for hospital expenses during childbirth. They agreed, so long as he could afford to come to a good Scottish hospital. So, Calon scraped up all his remaining money, rented the house for a year, and headed off to Scotland with his eight month pregnant wife. At 11:29 PM, UTC (formerly GMT), little Iriosal Blodyn was born.

The new Blodyn family of three lived in Scotland while Calon earned enough money to return home and survive for long enough to earn a living there. After two years, they returned to Kansas, and lived there until Iriosal was 6. They sold their house and moved to Adelard, Maine. As Iriosal grew, her parents became worried. She had very sudden and drastic mood shifts. They didn't realize that the mood swings came when they tried to force her to do something. Irio's parents found a friend studying child psychology, to see if she might have schizophrenia or another mood altering disorder. The man was smart enough to figure out that she was just very independent and ever changing. Her parents didn't care for that type of attitude however, and began to think about alternative schools where she could get used to a ritualistic way of living. It didn't work.

While Irio's life became harsh through the first two years of school (not socializing well, asking seemingly irrational questions to the teacher, ignoring the need to do the homework and so forth...) both parents encountered a stroke of luck. The old physics professor at MU passed away, and Calonnog applied immediately and was accepted. Shortly thereafter, a prosperous business opened a job for a high entry level secretary, and Lynnea got that job. Now a two income, fairly decently paid family, Irio's parents decided to do what they had wanted to do since she was six...

Blueshea Boarding School, outside of Lansing, Michigan, was entirely different from what Irio was used to. She was suddenly disciplined for her mood swings, and her seemingly irrational questions were answered seriously. She loved it. Though the school was designed to keep her on track, she was constantly making new things and demanding the knowledge of the minute. Her standard white dress shirt, blue tie, blue vest and navy skirt became knee-high combat boots and mesh shirts under her standard uniform. Blueshea had no specific rules forbidding things like this, and the teachers liked her enough that she got away with this. Only one person had ever chosen to be different as well, but by wearing bright red platform shoes and cut off gloves with her outfit. This was Plennie Allagi, Irio's only true friend. Lennie (nickname) and Irio slept close to each other in the housing system, and excelled in the same subjects (English and Science). Lennie was a year older than Irio, and said she planned to leave when she was 18, when her parents had agreed to let her become an independent. Irio heard this, and planned her own escape from the school.

Irio left boarding school the moment she turned 17, which is when she had enough money to fly home to the person she had contacted who would rent a room to her, even though she was underage. She refused to go to her family's home, simply because she liked making her own choices more, and she hadn't liked the way her family reacted when she said she was coming home. She had written a letter with said news, and her family wrote a three page letter back in short telling her no, she couldn't, and nothing else of a convivial nature. I'll be blunt, she was pissed. Instead of trying to work it out, she left in a sudden rush, determined to do things her way. She orchestrated her departure and housing situation by herself, and left Lennie with her new address and phone number and headed off.

Once settled in her small and sparsely furnished room, Irio got her parents to sign school papers for AHS, but before she turned them in, they "convinced" *coughcoughforcedcoughcough* her to go to St. Fiacre, which Calon claimed was reminiscent of good ole Scottish schools. Instead of being angry, Iriosal looked at the prospects and couldn't deny that St. Fiacre was a good school. She accepted, and headed off to start school. And what to her wondering eyes should appear, but Plennie Allagi. She had moved to Maine shortly after Irio and requested recommendations from every teacher she'd ever had and received practically nothing but great reviews. She paid for an apartment in Aida Towers and lived there happily away from her parents, who had grudgingly signed release papers for independency. After getting a good job as a telephone receptionist, Irio too moved into Aida Towers.

Plennie graduated during Irio's junior year, but continues to live in the apartment until she saves up a little more for college (she's got a ton of money in scholarships, mostly nameless types which she plans to use for MU). Irio is in her senior year, and has a few scholarships, mostly from Blueshea, and a college saving account from her family. She also plans to MU, hopefully starting the same year as Lennie.

NPCs:
Lynnea Blodyn - Pretty Flower - Maiden name - Koritsi, Core-it-sigh, Girl in Greek. Lynnea is from a typical mid-western American family with two siblings, brother and sister. She grew up in an old-fashioned family where women were supposed to stay at home, do laundry, yada yada yada. She loves her daughter, but dislikes her style and attitudes towards things. She wants Irio to be, well, more like her mother. She is there for Irio, when occasionally Irio needs parental care.

Calonnog Blodyn - Hearty Flower in Scottish Gaelic - Born in Dundee, Scotland to a fairly well-off family, Calonnog can only sniff at Irio's choices in life. It was his idea for Irio to be sent to boarding school, and doesn't really get involved with his daughter anymore. He loves her, he just wanted her to be, well, more like her mother.

Plennie Allagi - Complete Change - Allagi is change in Greek. Plennie is Irio's only real friend. (Irio has a ton of acquaintances, but only Lennie is a friend). She is outgoing once inspired, but otherwise just keeps her creative and outgoing ideas to herself. She is great in Creative Writing and Science, and is the only person who Irio ever really tells what's bothering her. She is also one of the very few people, Irio isn't trying to be constantly happy around.

Part III: Senshi Information
Special Skills:
Irio can run. Really fast. Like sprinter fast. But for a much longer period of time. I like short sentences here. I don't know why. Oh. She also has an uncanny ability to see if something is different than the first time she saw it. Like an eye for detail, but just differences in detail.

Transformation:
Her henshin item is a charm bracelet that has only one charm, an amber bulb on the silver chain. She never takes this bracelet off, and its chain is fairly thick compared to most jewelry, and the bulb is tiny, only about 2 mm across.
"Pimpernel Flora Power, Make-up!" As she is yelling this, Irio puts her left hand, the one with her bracelet, behind her head, so her hand sticks out on the other side. She sneers cockeyedly while tipping her head down, and looking straight ahead (I swear I will make this picture...). Her bracelet starts glowing, and the rest of her body glows too, vibrant blue and she slowly pulls her hand straight, so she's raising it over her head. It, too, is glowing blue, and the glow spreads over into a glowing sphere around her. The sphere starts swinging randomly, spinning with small almost green circles or light. It looks not unlike a two color disco ball. The ball is shattered from within, and the blue light shards disappear. Pimpernel looks dizzy, and grabs her head and blinks. She then looks surprised, like she didn't think anyone was watching, and puts her hands behind her head and jerks her head upwards in an acknowledgment. That's it.

Colors:
Bright blue and mint green. Bright blue because that's the color of the typical garden pimpernel. Weed pimpernel is brick red, but I couldn't get that to look good with green. Mint green because it was the only thing that looked right for some reason. In HTML too! #0005CA is the blue and #B5FFBD is roughly the green.

Symbol:
Imagine a circle. Got it? OK. Now put a dot in the very center. Great! OK, now put a lightly smaller circle on top. Fabulous, you're almost there. Now add a plus sign on top of it all! You're done! Great job! This is the sign for Chaos, the bottom circle with the dot is the sun symbol, and the circle and cross is the sign for earth. Symbols.com says that since matter (earth) is dominating over spirit (sun), materialistic considerations take precedence, creating chaos. Sure, whatever. Flipped over it means perfection, by the way. Here's a picture.

Fuku/Costume:
Well, the major changes are surprisingly few. She wears fingerless gloves of mint green with a blue band around her wrist. And her shoes are curled at the toes, but they have 1 inch heels and they are thigh high skin tight boots. At the top is an inch of blue lining with random, somtimes overlapping circles drawn on, and a darker blue floating around, not in the circles. The rest of the boot is mint green. There is a quarter inch of blue along the sole of the shoe as well, but the heel itself is mint green. Her halter top is typical, except there are beaded triangles hanging from the edging around her chest. The halter top is blue of course, and the strap mint green. The beads are blue too. Her earrings are mint green chaos symbols, with the dots suspended by a chain. Her "puffy pants" are actually another, shorter skirt with crinoline type fluffing under it. The rest is standard fuku. She doesn't mind the outfit, in fact she likes how different it looks.. Would you like to see it?

Weapon:
Yes, well, Pimpernel uses air as her weapon. She walks into a room, and *POOF* it's there. Yeppers. Pretty amazing, ne?

Powers/Attacks:
Conforming Epoch! - Her defensive attack. Pimpernel holds her arms out, elbows bent, positioning her hands at about shoulder height, with her hands palm side up and her thumb, middle, and index finger extended on both hands. She tips her head down slightly and sticks her chest out. She winks and yells "Conforming Epoch!" and two balls of red-orange energy appear, one in each hand. She hurls her hands up over her head, the two balls make one bigger sphere over her head. Her hands haven't changed their sign, and they now hurl the ball forward towards the offender.
Her reverse attack, the offender becomes a neat freak for about 5 minutes. Nothing can be out of place, and everything has to be perfect. If it's not, then they can't focus anywhere else but the incorrect element. This gives her time to escape, smack them down if she thinks she can manage it, or hit them with another attack. She prefers to save this attack for when she needs to escape. But she is never above using it to save her ass when someone is attacking that she can't handle otherwise. She prefers not to smack the person after they're a neat freak because she doesn't think it's fair to kick someone's ass when they are too busy to fight back.
Drawbacks to this attack include: If nothing is horribly out of place, the person may not be distracted for long. It is also kind of dodgeable. It is a fairly small ball of energy, but it is moving fast. Pimpernel can use this attack a maximum of 4 times a minute, if she does nothing else. Otherwise, once or twice is about it. She can move to dodge an attack, but otherwise she prefers not to move. If her concentration is completely broken, she loses the energy and usually cusses a few choice words.

Disorderly Conduct! - Her basic attack. Pimpernel floats in the air, and curls into a fetal position. Near her chest, she has cupped her hands, and an orangey light is coming from inside her hands. As she uncurls, she moves her hands up and to the right, moving her left hand to keep the energy hidden. She sticks her tongue out, and closes her eyes, then yells "Disorderly Conduct!" and flings her hands towards the victim. A foot wide hazy ball comes flying out and towards the victim.
In short, this attack causes the atoms in an object to disrupt then reassemble them in the exact same order they were in. The effect is crippling and complete nausea, if the ball passes through the stomach. If it passes through the chest, your heart and respiration are off for a few seconds, maybe 15 or so, and it's fairly painful, simply because your heart was just given the ultimate arrhythmia. Should it pass through the head, 30 second frontal lobotomy. Any other place on the body is like that body part has been so asleep you can't feel it anymore, just a numbness that leaves it useless.
This attack is the most common on Pimpernel uses. Its major faults are it's dodgeability and the fact that Pimpernel is not only vulnerable while floating, but can't lose concentration, or she falls to the ground, stunned for about 2 seconds. Pimpernel can use this three times a minute, if she uses no other attacks. Otherwise, once a minute is all she's got, once every 3 minutes if she uses Conforming Epoch twice or Chaotic Junctions once.

Chaotic Junctions... - Her strongest attack. Pimpernel crosses her middle and ring fingers, middle over ring, and takes a deep breath. She begins to run towards her opponent, left hand up towards her chest, palm in, and her right hand back and away from her body, palm in. Right as she is about to reach her target, she mutters "Chaotic Junctions..." her voice rising on the last syllable. She reaches out her right hand and tries to touch the person with her hand.
Before I say what this attack does, I'm going to mention the drawbacks. This attack requires an insane amount of concentration, so as she is running, she can be tripped, or might trip herself. A brief brush of her hand won't give the full effect of the attack, it has got to be a good solid touch, her whole finger at least. And this attack probably won't work head on, unless the person is pretty slow. Pimpernel is fast, but not fast enough to hit a person when she's running straight at them where they can see her. Afterwards, she is out of breath, whether or not she touched the enemy, and can't do the attack for another five minutes, more if she does other attacks. Until she has completely caught her breath, she can't do this attack.
Should she hit the target, for a second it seems like nothing has happened. Suddenly, their nerves don't do the same thing. For example, the nerve that tells your mouth to open may suddenly tell your eyes to close. This means you may try to walk with your hands or wink with your mouth. The only nerves not affected are unconscious bodily functions such as blinking, heart beats and breathing. Well, breathing may be affected if you can't figure out how to open it your mouth, but you should be able to breathe through your nose. This effectively makes you a vegetable for five to ten minutes.

Part IV: Additional Information
Why you:
I'm psycho, but in a good way. I write with character, and in character. I think Irio has great potential, and would make a good, even fascinating addition to this RPG.

Miscellaneous:
Some of the pictures I'm using are edited KiSS files which aren't for public viewing. I'll be taking them down as soon as I get my scanner working. Thank you to the following artists:
Megan (for the fuku) and Punky (for the two pics of Iriosal chillin'). They are all amazing artists, and all their pages, I believe, can be found on the OtakuWorld KiSS page under Links->Artist's KiSS Sites.

Part V: Writing Sample
"No! Really Lenny, I don't want to go!" Irio rubbed her aching temples. It wasn't as if she was against raves or anything, she was just tired of dealing with the noise. After all, she'd been to three others in the past couple of weeks. And if she let her grades slip, heaven knows if she could pull them back up in time.
"It isn't even really a rave, Irio! Just a gathering of people... with music... and..."
"And other things that will keep me up too late." Irio sighed deeply. She didn't really want to stay home either, she just couldn't afford to fail school.
"Well, since I'm going with or without you, what do I get?" Lenny said.
"What do you get?" Irio scoffed good-naturedly, "A warm fuzzy feeling for enjoying yourself without me." Lenny laughed.
"Even if I go, how do you know I'll enjoy myself?"
"Because you wouldn't waste your time if you weren't going to have fun. Just go, I've got homework." Irio said her goodbyes and hung up before she had a chance to regret it. The more she thought about it, the more she realized that there wasn't much point to going "raving" anyway. It was always the same. People bounced up and down, maybe did drugs, all the while listening to the ever pounding, thumping base lines of repetitive techno songs which inevitably used some outdated or annoying catch-phrase like, "The system is down..."
Ahead lay a night of English make-up work. And it wasn't even interesting English work. More of that "Read eighty gazillion chapters and tell me what happened in them." It was as if the teacher hasn't read the book.
'Probably hasn't in 50 years.' Thoughts of her aged teacher trying to read anything as long as 'The Grapes of Wrath' was more hilariously funny than anything she had thought of in a long time. Little Mrs. Moorepease with her square glasses squinting at a book with printing so tiny, even Iriosal had been tempted to use glasses. Even if she managed to get through a chapter, would she even remember it long enough to get all the references she was asking for?
'That's what I get for going to a Catholic school.' She picked up her pen and paper. 'All these years and I still can't get the references to the Bible.' Instead of writing introductions, she began to doodle a female in 50's garb. She laughed silently as she added a Crusader's cross on the little skirt. Her pen jumped slightly as the phone rang, and she grabbed it irritably.
"Good evening. I'm with Grayson Bank, and we were wondering if you were satisfied with your current banking situation?"
"No, actually I'm getting quite tired of them sending the howling monkeys after me and I would greatly appreciate it if you would send a few mercanaries to kill them off. Thanks." Hanging up, Iriosal resigned herself to the tedium of homework, and even went so far as to unplug her beloved phone.
"No more distractions tonight. I'll have to make up for it tomorrow."
