My Heart Sang

A poem by Phillip Hayes
The sun arises each and every morning,
Bringing back the warmth to my soul.
I fell in love without any warning,
Sing my heart, soft and low.

I said, "Sing heart, the new song that is here."
My heart sang for only you my dear.
I said, "Sing heart, for my love is standing near."
My heart sang beautifully and cyrstal clear.

The song down in my heart is for you,
Bringing a joy back to this life of mine.
I'm loving you as someone who
Can stand the test of time.

I said, "Dance heart, the steps are your own."
My heart danced for the love you have shown.
I said, "Dance heart, for a long time we have known."
My heart danced full of love and peace in our home.

My heart has wings that take to you
The knights in white satin I send.
My joy is full in knowing you,
For my broken heart you did mend.

I said, "love heart, with a love that is brand new."
"Yes," my heart said, "with a love that is ever true."
I said, "Love heart, for we have love enough for two."
My heart loved and chose to give it all to you.

The sun rose bright this very morning
Renewing the warmth in my soul.
I am in love without any warning,
Sing my heart, soft and low.

I said, "Sing heart, be of good cheer."
"I know", said my heart, "our true love is hear."
I said, "Sing and dance heart, our love is very near."
We sang and danced without any trace of fear.
