Itchy cats and itchy dogs...
SHAMPOO OPTIONS
from Indian Hills Animal Clinic
Curing dogs and cats (as well as ferrets) or their ills often involves the use of more than testing and injections at the clinic: prescription diet foods and medicated shampoos, targeted at what is ailing your pet, are important parts of the cure which are administered at home on a daily or weekly basis.

From itchiness caused by flea infestations to secondary bacterial and yeast infections brought on scratching in reaction to seasonal or environmental allergies, there are several shampoos and shampoo-related products available today which are targeted at your pet's specific foes.

Listed below are the major shampoo products we carry at
Indian Hills Animal Clinic. Used in conjunction with veterinarian-recommended and/or prescribed medicine and nutriceuticals, weekly bathing with a specifically selected shampoo can return to your red, irritated, balding pet to a shiny, happy, glowing companion!

Note: Although these products are available without a prescription and are designed for use by professional groomers, kennels and pet owners, if you pet has a severe skin condition, with flaky or oozing lesions and balding patches, it is recommended that they be used in conjunction with veterinary care. Bacterial, yeast and fungal infections require multi-pronged approaches to treatment, as do the various types of lice and mites. Over-the-counter treatments alone will not necessarily end your pet's itchy condition. Also, testing is available which can identify specific environmental causes of an animal's recurrent allergic reactions. Grass and tree pollens, fleas, dander, molds and even certain foods can cause a pet to scratch to the point of infection. SEE A VET then buy a shampoo.
