State Director - February 2001
"Cruising the
Commonwealth"
Happy February, everyone! Man… what
a fun January! From the Fredericksburg Presidential Roast to State Convention,
to TOYA, to Chesterfield’s Train Auction, we’ve already had an action
packed year! Needless to say, you ain’t seen nothing yet… there are SO
many events planned Statewide for this year, we’ve got boundless
opportunities to share the Tuckahoe Love all over the Commonwealth!
The BIG events for this month:
State Book Judging in Madison, VA: We
NEED a minimum of 3 Tuckahoe members in attendance at this very important
event. Here, we will be judging the Volunteer State’s Chairman’s Planning
Guides, and we need to be there SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 3 @ 10:00 AM! Here’s the
plan… leave Richmond at 7:30 AM (yeah, I know it’s early…), grab some
grub on the way, get to Madison in plenty of time, knock those books out…
and get back to Richmond in plenty of time for evening festivities! Please
call me if you are able to attend!
The Fairfax Jaycees DATING GAME!! Yes,
Tuckahoe… the annual test of wit, wisdom and nerve goes down at George Mason
University on February 17… we’ll need to leave Richmond at 2:00, and will
get a hotel room for us to crash (plan on chipping in…) and return to
Richmond sometime on Sunday afternoon. This event is ALWAYS fun, if only to
watch your fellow Jaycees try and win the affection of that Mystery Bachelor
or Bachelorette! This fun, fabulous event is held to benefit Camp VA Jaycee,
so let’s get ready to give them a big Dating Game Kiss!!!!!
The West End Jaycees are having their
annual Bachelorette Auction at Cardinal Forest On February 24… and let me
tell you, you had better start saving your money now, because we NEVER go
cheap! This is another great event in support of Camp VA Jaycee, so make plans
to attend and bid on a date package! It’s a great time!
There are many other events going on
ALL over the Commonwealth… and I need your help to make sure that we make
our presence known! Starting March 1, I will be rolling out the new visitation
incentive program, and let me tell ya… it’s challenging, it’s fast, it’s
fun-and a great opportunity for you all to get together, show some teamwork,
and CRUISE THE COMMONWEALTH! This program will be rolled out at our February
19 meeting… so make sure you are there!!!!!
Thanks for all of your visitation
participation this past month… and get ready to roll! Tuckahoe… start your
engines! Don’t get left behind!
Let’s CRUISE THE COMMONWEALTH, TUCKAHOE!!!
Catch us if you can!
