Membership Development - September 2000
This month’s column, like the Membership calendar of activities for September is short, sweet and to the point. In a song, David Bowie sang, "Cha, Cha, Cha, Cha, Changes. Turn and face the changes." And this is the one thing that we in Tuckahoe are facing right now and will continue face in the weeks and months remaining for this administration and into the future. There are some that do not welcome change. Others embrace change. Change is perpetual and should be handled as best possible. Whether on a chapter level or a personal level. Change is growth and growth is something we should all strive for.
Membership Activities for the month of September:
Movie Night every Sunday
16th - Jaycee Day at Kings Dominion - This event will start a little later than normal to accommodate everyone for whatever reason. We will gather at the Wal-Mart on Brook Road at 12:00 PM so that we can enjoy the afternoon and early evening at the park this has always been a popular event and members with children old enough, are encouraged to come out. I will make whatever arrangements necessary with park officials for some type group discount but keep your eyes peeled for any kind of discount coupons. Let me know what you find by calling me at 270-4064 but don’t wait till the last minute.
