A Word from The President -
February 2001
Hello Tuckahoe,
Welcome to the month of
February. Did we have a great time in January or what? If you said
no, you missed an Awesome Super Bowl Party at Jimmy Dennis' home (Thanks JD?
we love you man!), Bingo with the Elderly, Dating 101 Class (I took lots of
notes so women watch out!). We delivered wood for Project Warm and food
for Meals on Wheels, plus other great projects throughout the month.
February will have loads of great projects for us to work, plan, or attend, so
please come out and support our Great Tuckahoe Jaycee Chapter.
Last month we saw history in the
making by meeting the FIRST Female United States Junior Chamber of Commerce
President, Ms. Sydney Ward! Thanks For all who came up to meet her and
other Jaycees from around the state. Tuckahoe, as always, won a lot of great
awards. However, the Biggest Award for our chapter has to go to the
Kenny Loyall for becoming the latest Tuckahoe Jaycee to earn a Virginia Jaycee
Life Membership! CONGRATULATIONS!
Tuckahoe also has a new meeting place at the Parham
Pavilion located at 501 Parham Road near the intersection of Parham Road and
Derbyshire Road. The times are still the same with a 7:00 social and at 7:30,
the meeting begins. So please tell all your friends to come out and be a
part of the Awesome Tuckahoe Jaycee Family. They will be glad they did
after they see the wonderful time we have had together. The more members
we have, the better the possibilities for the projects to run.
