1959 TR3A
All Done
I have been wary of wire wheels due to the memory of my first TR3 back in 1973... as I recall their shape was something other than round.  Nevertheless, I have always liked the look and in a moment of weakness obtained a set of hubs and wheels to get what (to me) is the true British motorcar look.
Arizona allows a car to be registered with a "Year of Manufacture" plate (provided the number is not currently in use).  Couldn't resist... besides that 1959 blue plate looks really great on a red car.
Too much time on my hands while the TR was in the body shop through the winter... a homemade DAV key identifier to match the 1959 plate.
I went with painted wire wheels as they had the look that for me says "British Roadster".  I used 6mm wheel spacers from a local hot rod shop rather than shorten the studs by .25" as is usually required for the splined hubs.  This will allow me to use the disk wheels for longer road trips or where rougher roads are expected (lots of those in Arizona).
