1 TBSP LEMON ZEST (CAN SUBSTITUTE ORANGE)
2 TBSP JUICE OF ONE LEMON (OR ORANGE)
1/3 CUP WATER
1 TBSP BRANDY (OPTIONAL)
1/3 CUP VANILLA SUGAR OR REGULAR GRANULATED SUGAR
½ TO 1 CUP TOASTED WALNUTS OR PECANS


IN FOOD PROCESSOR BLEND THE RAISINS, SUGAR & NUTS. ADD THE JUICE & ZEST AND THE BRANDY

REMOVE MIXTURE TO A HEAVY SAUCEPAN AND ADD THE WATER

COOK OVER MEDIUM HEAT, STIRRING SO MIXTURE WILL NOT SCORCH. COOK ABOUT 5 TO 8 MINUTES, UNTIL MIXTURE THICKENS
