FRESH APPLE-CHERRY DESSERT… FROM THE GRILL
-3 to 4 apples, peeled, corded & sliced
-1 cup pitted cherries
-½ cup brown sugar
-2 –heaping- teaspoons cornstarch
-the zest & juice of ½ lemon (or orange)
-pinch kosher salt
-¼ teaspoon cinnamon
-about ½ to ¾ cup
STREUSEL TOPPING

1. Place peeled, & sliced apples in a microwavable bowl, cover with a paper towel & -on high- microwave for 4 minutes

2. In a bowl combine all ingredients -except the streusel topping- toss to coat

3. Line a pie tin with foil & then parchment paper, crimp the sides to create high sides

4. Pour apple/cherry mixture into the prepared pie tin

5. Sprinkle streusel topping evenly over the top

6. Place on hot grill (over
indirect heat), close the lid & bake for about 35 to 45 minutes until apples are cooked

Cool slightly before serving

Serving suggestions:
With sweetened whipped cream
Ice Cream

Yields about 4 servings
