Architect's Project

introduction

Basically,  I am an architect (B.Arch. honours) from the University of Mumbai's Dr.D.Y.Patil college of Architecture  with Bachelor of Architecture and registered with the Council of  Architecture. Currently, I am also pursuing concentration in Technology Integration related to Building Design for the Master in Architecture Program at University of Wisconsin at Milwaukee..

Awarded Travel grant by the Ratan tata Trust for overall performance and further studies at Columbia University NewYork.

Awarded Scholarship by R.D Sethna Scholarship Trust Fund for studies abroad

Awarded the American Alumni Association Travel grant for studies at Columbia University , New York.

Awarded "Best Student of the year 1999"
Achieved certificate for merit for excellence in mathematics, physics and chemistry in XII Standard examination.
Awarded certificate for excellence in the General Knowledge test
held for the Annual Public School Conference.
Passed the elementary grade drawing examination held by the J.J School of Art, the directorate of art  Maharashtra State in 1988
Passed the intermediate grade drawing examinations held by the J.J School of Art, the directorate of art Maharashtra State in the year 1989.

professional experience

Recently , I was working with m/s Sankalpan Architects Pvt. Ltd on various interior projects. I had been working with nationally acclaimed designers at m/s
architect's combine, Mahim for about 1 and a half years and have worked in almost all departments.

software expertise

I possess proficiency and expertise on AutoCAD R14 and R2000
applications and also have been handling PhotoShop 5.5, Adobe PageMaker 6.5,Corel Draw 9.0, and 3D Studio Max 2.5. I am well versed with INTERNET and its browsers and primary Html using Netscape composer and Front Page Express. I have also exposure to Project management softwares as PRIMAVERA AND MS PROJECT 2000. I have executed extremely large and detail drawings, publications, digital imaging and animation using above packages. I am also well versed with MS Office, Office97, and Netscape Navigator. Etc all under Windows 98 environment. I have executed walkthru and 3d Imaging using above softwares.

xtra curricular activities

I have taking active part in National Association of Students of Architecture (NASA), the only international student convention among architectural colleges and participated in its various events relating to their design competition as well as workshops and on the spot competitions. During my college life, I have extensively toured India from its length and breadth. As a part of the research and documentation of most
acclaimed creations in architecture all over India and Nepal. This is because architectural history of India, Europe, America from Palaeolithic to modern  age forms part of the university curricula. I take active part in public seminars and meeting related to various issues like wildlife conservation, AIDS, Pollution, Mumbai city problems. I have taken part in many discussions at Max Mueller Bhavan and Sir JJ College of architecture & UNESCO workshops in academy of architecture etc
I have performed skits and dramas as part of social gatherings
during the years gone by.

project

I have done an extensive design project on 'Project Tiger Headquarters and Tiger Research Centre' as my Final year Thesis. During the course of the project assimilation, case studies, and data collection I had
been to Ranthambore, Delhi and Bangalore. It was a great privilege to me in meeting and getting acquainted with internationally renowned people in Tiger conservation such as Mr.Valmik Thapar (Land of Tigers fame), Mr. Fateh Singh Rathore (first field director of Ranthambore Tiger reserve), and Mr. Bittu Sahgal (editor sanctuary magazine). Their valuable guidance and encouragement helped me in completing my thesis.

miscellaneous achievements

I have been the magazine editor of my college magazine 'Sthapati' where I,conceptualised right from the magazine's name to dealing with printers, editing, graphic design of the magazine.
I have also passed the elementary and intermediate level Drawing grade examinations held by the J.J School of Art in the year 1988 and 1989 respectively. I am also a 'A' certificate holder of the National Cadet Corps (N.C.C) and attended its Combined annual Training Camp (C.A.T.C) in my
public school life at Khuldabad and Nakshatrawadi. I have scored 94% of marks in general knowledge examination at the Public school conference examination in the year 1991.
