When Rammstein found me!
By Cliff Miles

Well, let me start from the beginning. My name is Cliff Miles. I was born june 28, 1986. I play the guitar, and I think Richard and Paul are gods. My interest started back in 1997 when I was at my cousins house. I was going through his cd collections and saw a man on the cover that looked like he was in bad need of a drop of water. Sehnsucht! I asked him what it was, and he, being odd, said, "Good music. Wanna hear"? So, of course, I being odd at the time said to him, "Yeah, sure." He started it up, and I realized it was all in german. He had me hear "Du Hast". I remember it well, cause after that, I heard the translation to english, and thought to myself "jeez, these guys are total psychos!". Then I hear the guitar power of paul and richard and bloody nearly collapsed. After that day, I decided I wanted to play the guitar.
It wasn't until 1999 that I relized Rammstein would never leave me alone. I was working in my backyard when I heard the angelic voice of "Engel" coming from next door. I looked over the fence and saw a group of guys kickin back, talkin about their new cd. I saw their new cd cover and relized it was the same one I saw at my cousins house two years earlier. I decided they were a good band, maybe I would get into them. Well, 2000 rolls around and I still have only heard two songs of theirs. One day, I went to borders, and decided to pick up a cd. Having totally forgotten about them, I look for "the Matrix" soundtrack. Found it, bought it, listened to it. I was just about to go to a different song when all of a sudden, I heard the eerie tones that could only be produced by Rammstein. I was hooked. That was the only song I would listen to. I finally had a song of theirs. The next time I went to borders, I look up rammstein. There they were. "Herezleid" and "Live aus Berlin". I picked'em both up. Then I was on a quest for the missing cd "Sehnsucht". The first, yet at the same time, the last. It was just three months ago that I found it. I was a hard core rammstein fan. It was complete. Then I heard about the new album that was coming out... "Mutter"! Now, having a relationship with this band of men, (and learning a lot of german) I was right in line on the day it came out. One copy was left. Was it fate? Was I destined to have this disc? Was it written in an ancient scroll that I must complete the circle?

I'd like to think so.
